Because all products deserve their own thread to cover development news and discussion, instead of a confusing grab all thread covering multiple products.

There is going to be much more news and discussion on this single synth through this year and next. Keeping it just in the NAMM 25 thread only is silly. Don't be silly!
Ok, I'll stop being silly.
How original

Dunno about MPE - they were making noises that most of their polys (at least the big 16 voice ones) were going to be the same configuration as UBXa and MPE capable. Is this one 16 voice? It certainly looks big enough to be considered one of their big bastards...

It has 32 voices of polyphony or 16 for each part in dual mode and 32 analog CS80 Filters 1 for each voice :)

The Filter does also have it's own envelope based on the CS80 envelope and lfo :tu:

Fkn hell, 32 voices :o .
I know that's not anything to be impressed by on the FM side of things, but 32 filters. Wow.
Behringer are really upping their game. Now if only they could deliver on their seemingly discarded polyOSCar with 32 luscious voices... :hyper:

Another observation, this is a good sign in the sense of them taking chances.
IMO one of the reasons the CS80 hasn't appeared is they would likely have to charge around $2500 for it, and that goes against their "cheap" thing, but a poly aftertouch keyboard, a giant ribbon controller etc. are all expensive things to add in, and the expected MPE support etc.

I think it's one area they're not comfortable exploring I wish they would, the $2k+ range where they could make monster synths like the CS80 that even went beyond the originals.

A modern Xpander with Matrix 12 voice counts and a modern way of splitting the voices into various presets etc. That would interest me as well.

Yes. I also think that what they're trying to do here is to scratch both the buyer's experimental itch and a nostalgic itch at the same time. They are taking two vintage ideas and combining them into something new, that is at the same time, nostalgic, and in this case, mostly unobtanium.

I love that their stuff is so low cost, but, I also wish that they would cut fewer corners in some cases. The only reason that I didn't buy the deepmind is because the third EG did not have its own controls. That was a corner too far for me. So yes, it's great that products are inexpensive, but don't cut so many corners that you negate major reasons why people want hardware in the first place.

It's not too late, I'll buy the Deep Mind II if they fix the problems. Just steal all of the ideas that can be stolen from Uhe's Diva and work them into the front panel so that everything that's on a potentiometer serves a single function, give the poly-aftertouch keyboard, and I'll buy it.

Taking bets on how long before they emulate the Virus and give it analog filters?

Behringer Biohazard TI2 would be a good name for it (trademark claimed!)

Poly aftertouch confirmed!

Also, vintage or modern DAC mode.

That SD card slot is a really nice touch. I hope more Behringer synths include that.

I guess it's the same keybed as the UBxa; the Pro-16 will probably have it as well. I haven't heard anything about release velocity.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

I'm sure that it is the same keyboard. That's all that I wanted to know. I'm not expecting them to create new keyboards at this point, I'm on board with their "keep it in the budget zone by reusing technology." For the record, I'm not a vintage clone aficionado. I'm way on board with their more creative offerings.
