This thing only works with imported loops afaik.
Great company re: sound design, however, their HALion GUI's make them difficult to use IMO. Plus, there's no demo unlike Circa.

Looks promising... something like a multilayered Enso with a final touch of ODC.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Set Theory claim:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate.
Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"

I think they mean that you can't record into it like circa.whyterabbyt wrote: Fri Apr 11, 2025 10:40 amwhere do you 'know' that from? the manual pretty much states the opposite.
"Whether you're working with the included Loop Packs or importing your own samples, LOOP ENGINE provides an unparalleled level of creative freedom, turning your loops into dynamic, evolving soundscapes with ease."

Apparently it's possible but it's really buggy.

This looks awesome!! I remember just a few short years ago wanting to buy the Boss RC-600 Loop Station when it came out. Things came up, and I didn't end up having the money to buy it. However, this app appears to be able to compete directly with it! I know some of you guys are seeing bugs, but I truly believe those will get worked out. Once they are all worked out, there is no need for the Boss RC-600 if you have this!
And, it is available for Linux!!! I'm excited!

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Just to let everyone know that a Circa update is coming that reduces the cpu/gpu hit. Chris sent it over discord. It disables glow and shadows and does the job pretty good.
Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

Have they said anything about a possible date for iOS release? Is it one of the situations where it’s been submitted, but not yet approved?
I don’t have a use for it in DAW as a plugin, but wouldn’t mind it on the iPad.

New version doesn't seem to have any issues for me (M1 Max MBP) in Ableton, CPU hit is low.
I've got to actually look at the manual (I assume there's a way to have a crossfade on the slices so there are no pops) but it seems pretty nice. Similar, I assume, to Loopy Pro for the iPad but I've never bought that because I dread investing in all the dongles and gear to make the iPad usable with external instruments.

I'm glad Chris finally saw the light about demos.Ah_Dziz wrote: Thu Apr 10, 2025 6:33 pm but I don't want to mess with bugginess so I demo them and don't buy them
Some folks were talking about about Circa on another forum, and someone mentioned they thought it was a lot better than Enso, which was a disappointment. I didn't like Enso much either. I do like this a lot more so far, but I'll have to experiment a bit to decide whether I want to go ahead and buy it.
