Is a ryzen 5850u enough to get decent performance out of Bitwig? + Testing another mini

Today I've tested another mini pc to put in my RV. This time I'm testing the Geekom A5 with Ryzen 5825u.
This thing performs as my 2700x desktop pc. I got 45 (9 tracks with 5 note chord each) voices playing of polygrid additive wave synth at 20w tdp and 68/70c temp. This mini is a little bit louder then the Trigkey I've tested but if you attach it behind your monitor or, even better, under your desk this becomes a non issue imo. It is more powerful, runs cooler and is slightly cheaper than the Trigkey. 16gb 3200mhz ddr4 dual channel ram 512gb nvme and really nice build quality.

I'm interested in testing my Intel Nuc for comparison, what patch did you use?

Polygrid - Additive wave synth. It comes with essentials package.

Just to add the above results; this thing behaves quite oddly. When cpu is at 100% fan speed is more or less constant and noise is low. With lower cpu consuption fan starts spinning up and down getting noisier then when pushing the machine. Noise is still on the lower side. Will try installing fancontrol to see if this can be 'fixed'.

Did you tried Linux in either miniPC

It is quite stable and personally a better experience in music production.
Usually it get even better results on mid-lower spec systems and AMD is very well-supported on Linux (even the drivers are better from what I can tell and hear).

Personally, I would find very interesting to know any experience on Linux.

No, I didn't test Linux. As you said, Amd is well support. This guy tests a lot of minis, tries Linux and even runs latencymon (if he doesn't show it during the video there's a recap at the end with a point named latency).

Anyway, if you ever try it with BTW or audio production, let us know please.
I would like to know what people think and the overall experience of these miniPC for music production with Linux.
