I messed around a little bit (I use Triaz a lot more than Playbeat these days) and no dice. I was able to get the JSON loaded in roto via Midi mode but not sure how to take the next steps on getting bitwig/playbeat to link up to it. PB4 has a limited number of parameters exposed to automation, not sure if that is a limitation or not? (For those exposed, mainly in the mixer, I was able to learn those in roto no problem). If anyone is willing to test this and report back that would be useful, by placing the MidiMappings.amx file in this folder. Of course if you already have any MIDI mappings, this has to potential to overide those, so use with caution. I have not yet been able to verify if this will work as intended and allow the easy import of the mapped MIDI CC values, or other MIDI settings.

Next step is to open Playbeat’s settings and map the MIDI CC values to match the numbers provided in the graphics supplied. Playbeat doesn’t use DAW automatable parameters at all, as you have seen there are very few, however there are many more available for MID controI. You don’t use the Roto control learn mode, you select the CC numbers in the dropdowns inside Playbeats MIDI settings.
Alternatively I’ve also supplied a file that was in the Mac Playbeat directory. It might be feasible to drop it inside your Playbeat application folder to lap all the midi values, but this remains untested and no idea if it would work yet, especially across platforms.
Hope that helps, feel free to post more questions if there’s anything else.

Yeah, went through the mappings and can confirm this works (tested around 10 params or so), pretty nifty, thanks for the scriptSekops wrote: Fri Jul 11, 2025 7:54 pm Next step is to open Playbeat’s settings and map the MIDI CC values to match the numbers provided in the graphics supplied.
