I saw Sabbath (original lineup) on the 1978 tour, just before Ozzy quit for the second time. It probably wasn't their finest hour, but was still pretty damn good.

Without Black Sabbath, today's musical landscape would be rather different.

It's weird. I never think about Ozzy, as I wasn't a BS fan, but today, before someone else informed me of the news, I found myself thinking what a strange phenomenon "The Osbournes" was, and how it could have possibly come together, and that the single "Changes" that he did with his daughter, was actually pretty good.
Having this random train of thought a few hours prior to finding out he'd passed away, is just one more synchronicitous event I can't explain.
Last thing I heard was that he and Sharon were getting out of LA as it was getting too dangerous.
