Hi there,

I ve just installed the Beta 6 of Bitwig 6 to try it out and I have many issues on the workflow in the arrangement view. Bur the one is kicking me out every time it s for each automation point I create in a track, always create a point with the Hold Option, so I have each time to push that left button to draw a normal automation lane. isn t the an option to deselect or disable the Hold automation point by default? I can t find any place to do this. And I can t read anyone saying the same thing.

Many thanks in advance

I'm using BW5 mostly but just popped back to Logic for some simple piano & vocal AUDIO recording

was pretty stoked to see Logic added a built in 'isotope' AI style MASTERING plug-in
would be nice to see something like that in BW6; is there?

beta 6 (or, to be precise, Java VM of beta 6) on my machine keeps crashing after showing the splash screen for a few seconds, same as beta 5 and beta 4.

since sending crash logs to beta@bitwig.com appears to be useless, just complaining.

Seems to have been in Beta for a long time, I was hoping it would be finalised before the Black Friday discount to renew my sub but it looks like it's a fair way off.

Not an AI one, but you can put a chain together from the built in tools fairly easily.

I have a 'quick master' preset which is a container with a compressor, EQ, some mild saturation, and a limiter or something like that. I use it sometimes if sharing a project. (but normally use a different chain in a container with 3rd party FX)

I don't find Ozone to be particularly great tbh, maybe helpful to get some overall picture and reference to go against. I can't imagine the logic one is much better, and I think it maybe doesn't even give you its EQ curves like Ozone does to allow you to tweak it.

Yes this "mastering" Logic plugin does give you its EQ curves to allow you to tweak it.
… I am not thrilled with Ozone either I never updated it — but this kind of gentle "AI" as reference is one of the few uses of so-called "artificial intelligence" that doesn't send me into a rage

Exactly... nonetheless deliver those wannabe AI´s in terms of mixing and mastering at best mediocre results and if you have to tweak them from this starting point you could have done the rest easily yourself too.
I do not see any sense in those plugins... they are just misleading for the clueless (assuming this would be a wished result) and completely useless for the people having more knowledge...
At the very end it´s just a marketing gag and I wished Bitwig stays away from them (what they luckily up to date have done).

If I choose the "Gift" option when buying the 12 month sub can I then apply to my account (the same account that purchased it) when I choose?

Yes, if you choose "gift" you'll get a code that you can apply to your account whenever you want to. That's what I do.
