maybe an 8th generation processor is a litlle short according to what I found here:

Bitwig 6 requires a processor that supports the AVX2 instruction set, which 8th Generation Intel chips possess. However, because Bitwig 6 has higher performance demands than version 5, an 8th Gen chip will behave differently depending on the project complexity.

Performance Expectations for 8th Gen Intel in Bitwig 6:
Small-to-Medium Projects: An 8th Gen i5 or i7 with 16GB+ RAM will perform well for producing, recording, and mixing projects with moderate plugin counts.
Large/Complex Projects: If you use many heavy synths (like The Grid), high-latency plugins, or large sample libraries, you may encounter CPU spikes (crackling audio).
Recommendation: To ensure smooth performance, you will likely need to utilize Bitwig’s "Bounce in Place" feature frequently to convert MIDI tracks to audio to save CPU.

Key Requirements for Optimal Performance:
RAM: 16GB is the recommended minimum for modern DAW work, though 8GB can work with heavy freezing/bouncing.
OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or Linux/macOS 12+.
Power Settings: Set Windows power plan to High Performance to prevent CPU throttling, which is a common cause of audio dropouts.

If your 8th Gen machine is a laptop, ensure it is well-cooled, as thermal throttling can severely impact performance.
