1. With 1.2 Instanatiate Kompakt with Church Ensemble
2. Repeat
Result: 3 Instantiations before Receptor is overloaded and must be restarted.
3. With kernel upgrade Instanatiate Kompakt with Church Ensemble.
4. Repeat
Result: I was able to get 5 instantiations and still could load a blank patch, Receptor did not freeze.

Yes, I have tried Rick's magic settings, to no avail, and have tried both 128 and 256, but to be honest, I don't think I spent long enough at 256 - I'll try again!

Cheers,

Boog.
Can't wait!!
Does this mean that we'll be able to run stuff @ lower sample buffer settings?

We will not know until we do extensive testing. Having a more efficient use of RAM will help primarily with loading larger samples. But, it may also allow using larger DFD buffers, which in turn may help with streaming from disk.

There are aspects of this problem that are out of our control. But, being able to play a high quality piano is one of our highest priorities so what we can promise is that we will try very hard to improve sampler performance.
