If Shade had parallel processing it would be one of the best FX around

f*ck, f*ck, f*ck.....i had dual X delay already, but never used it. I just changed that. And ohh my boy, what a three hour jam i just had with it.
But this is patching within GP (host). You can`t do that -live play- stuff in a DAW this way.

i tested this evening Object delay V1....to have a look again. And it^s crap. Some of the coding work is crap (parametrisation linearity/delinearity re. time vs. CC mapping). And i never really arrived with it as a resonator behind a instrument.

But this UVI dual X delay just made some stuff exactly in that vein what i had expected to see from Object delay. Wow, that was a great jam......

Definitly a fun delay for several things. Nice parametrisation. Unusual. A nice addition to my pile of other delays. Nice find (on my SSD, haha).

Without the waveform display on the bottom it gives me 1% less ... still far too CPU hungry... maybe it´s not running that well on AMD Chips...

Shade to me is one of those plugins that's just flat out special.

UVI's effects are genuinely on par with the others from what I've used — the quality is there across their range. Eventide Blackhole is still unmatched for long ambient tails and pitch-shifted reverbs, though — it has a character nothing else quite matches. Haven't spent enough serious time with Arturia or Softube to fairly rank those.

For me, it's the tube simulation that causes the heavy CPU with Opal. I don't even get the 1% boost turning off the waveform display though.

You are right... turning off the tube emulation drops CPU use from 20% to 7% :tu:
