Get cubase - or eXT - this is an expression board where dedicated users have supported a Jules and product like no other - now they are left limp in the side lines - what do you expect?!darcyb62 wrote:All this nonsense on T2 is getting to be more than a bit tiresome. I come to this forum looking for some good tips on using Tracktion and over the past couple of weeks this forum has become somewhat of a joke. If I was newcomer looking for some advice I wouldn't be sticking around Tracktion too long and I would look for a product that has a user community that had something to contribute.
I apologize for offending some as once you cut through this nonsense this forum is actually pretty decent but this nonsense has to stop.
Use the search function and find the solution - or post a serious 'question' for help and you will get help - atm you just adding negitivity. And no fun at all in your post

Best regards,

now that you have this precious 'inside-information' you feel you have a right to act as rudely as you want to anyone who might not share your point of view?when I started posting on kvr I have been humble until I got familiar with most of the 'inside-information'
Jens: you are more of a newcomer to this board than me i think.. so i'll join you in saying that the newcomers piss me off too.all these newcomers are slowly but surely starting to piss me off.
Don't forget that _most_ users would prefer not to have the hoax threads.. is it only the opinion of the users who post everyday that matters? jens has already said as much, what do the other heavy posters think?.. (this attitude is egotistic elitist bullshit imo).
Valley: do you really not understand this? how else can we protest about what we feel to be abuse of the forum?for every hoax thread there is a corresponding "too much crap on this forum thread"
and this is supposed to help CUT the noise it?
While there ar hoax threads, there'll continue to be threads like these too, if hoaxers get tired of them so much the better.
The complaint threads: at least you have a clear idea of what this thread contains before you open it. it doesn't get in the way of searching for the information you're looking for.. like the hoax threads deliberately do.
I have alot of respect for some of the posters on this forum.. so i don't want to banish myself from here..
this forum used to be a reasonable place. now it doesn't feel like you can have a discussion here anymore. please prove me wrong.

I can totally respect your stance because I felt similar when bungle decided to go cussing everyone out with no end in sight. It was funny at first, then he went balistic thinking everyone was taking away his right to free speech... whatever. So in that sense I can relate, but then at the same time I can relate to the fact that this forum goes thru it's spells and this is mearly one of them. This place has always had a bit of oddness going on, and it wouldn't quite feel right without it. There is a offbeat humor around here that we all enjoy to varying degrees... obviously.cbit wrote:what do the other heavy posters think?
Well after getting worked up that last time, I simply refuse to vest that much effort into something which ultimately will pass with time.
btw cbit, where is that mormo release??? me want badly! I've been checking my mailbox for a nice shiney cd...

I am not criticizing anyone and I don't want to cut off anyone's right for free speech except of those who try to enforce their own rules here on this forum and try to cut off the others' right for free speech.
Now you're turning everything around and are accusing me of being the bad boy and being elitist and all that crap just because I reacted in a certain way to a post made by someone whose name I never read beforce who tried in his post to enforce his own rules which obviously aren't the rules of this community.
You really should be ashamed about your lame try to put me in the position you belong!

and another thing:
the one single hoax-thread I started I only started because of your dogmatic reaction in Ttoz hoax thread.
But I think I'll start another one today.

I can only hope you're not comparing me to Bungle regarding this point...ModuLR wrote:I can totally respect your stance because I felt similar when bungle decided to go cussing everyone out with no end in sight. I agree with Cbit on this. I have been a member here since March of this year. I see Jens has been a member for twice as long but big deal. I don't post a lot as I don't see a need to. I use kvr as a means to help in certain areas I might have issue with and I am able to get most of them addressed using the search feature. The few posts that I have made have been to address issues I haven't been able to resolve. Who's to say I don't have another alias.... Hmmm...
I guess my mistake is not realizing that some seem to want to use this board as a social meeting place. I have better things to do with my time.
And by the way, I don't think I tried to push on any rules... I only expressed my opinion in what I found to be extremely childish and immature behavior. I thought I was dealing with adults here and only a few have appeared...
Cheers...

I actually agree that all the hoax i very anoying. I have been on this forum since before I got tracktion almost a year ago and it used to be a great place to find info, tips and ask questions. Sure, I'm not a heavy poster, and imo that's because I like to use my spare time to create music rather than hanging around a forum all day getting bored and having to post bs to entertain myself. When I got T one of the reasons where great personal support in the form of this forum with great topics and Jules' frequent visits here. Today, like the original poster said, this forum would rather scare a newbie off then make them feel at home. It has gotten to the point where checking this place out for news and info is totally pointless, since all the good threads get drowned in nonsense.
A forum with a sense of humor? That was probably the most humorous statement I have seen on this board so far. If your idea of humor is spamming the board with crap and pictures of groundhogs then you should consider watching some WWI documentary on discovery, since that is much more humorous. It was a little funny the first time, and maybe the second, but now it's just getting plain rediculous. Sure, you have every right to make theese posts given by freedom of speech, but you'll have to ask yourselves what you want this forum to be: A place for serious discussions about Tracktion (well, RawMaterial software, but honsestly, what other software of Jules' is discussed?) or a personal playing ground for "dedicated users"? In effect some of you have already answered this by telling people to put up with it or get out.
I am perfectly aware that the responses to this will most likely be either lame atempts to be ironical over my post or accusations about me oppressing your freedom of speech, but so be it, my standpoint is firm. So please, stop with the hoax threads. They are doing no one a favor.
