I had the same problem solved it by eliminating automations, and repetitive plug-ins, I had two different reverb, so tracktion had a hard time rendering I also put the play speed to 1.
Hope it helps

All host have different sound quality.....
There isn't 100 different ways of adding 2 numbers.
If you can hear difference between 2 hosts that will be in extreme situation with 128 tracks and 300 VST.... And the difference will be very subtle.

All of this kind of mirrors what Image Line (FL Studio) says on their forums:

However, there are easily exceptions to this.

For example, some DAWs have processing other than simple mixing on their mixers - FL Studio has a 3-band EQ, Cubase has a rather flexible set of options on its mixer, etc., and if those are used they can process things differently and potentially color the sound in different ways.

MixBus and MixBus 32C both have mixers which use analog modeling to mimic the sound characteristics of classic Harrison mixing consoles. Those will obviously have a "sound", by design.

Are we resurrecting this discussion from 2004?

Any DAW that has an effect on the main output that you can't remove has an effect on the main output that you can't remove. Personally, I think that's a crappy design. What happens when you import a render for some time-based editing and re-render? It gets "analogized" a second time, whether you want it to or not.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

The same would happen if working tape to tape or rendering through an actual analog mixer.

That is the whole point of the MixBus DAWs - to mimic working with the analog equipment.

It is not the best design for all use cases, but it makes perfect sense given the intent behind the design.
