hehe. If anyone is to blame here it's the lack of patience and gear lust for many of the TRacktion 1 users here.

Does anyone ever step outside of their shoes for a moment and take a look at situations with their emotions removed?

Only if he coded those things INSTEAD of responding to the needs/requests of existing users, and the goals he had previously annouced.

I'm assuming instead that the Mackie driven aspects are AS WELL AS, and NOT instead of these other things.

Beno just wrote (on another thread) that there are "A Lot" of "Big" new features not yet announced, so we shall have to wait and see.

However, bringing a pile of Mackie's existing customer base into the Tracktion fold has got to be a really good thing for us all, surely?

:-o That sounds painful. Is it an expensive proceedure? Or can I get it on the NHS?

well if this all is so true, why the heck are they doing this to us? I mean we all knew we're going to get the midi controller stuff. I mean that was totally lacking and should have been in there in T1. So far the list is pretty disappointing. Lets all be honest here.

I'm really not disappointed Ron, and I would encourage you not to be too. I know that you like T1 a lot and that you have high hopes for v2. Hang in there and see what else is announced over the next few weeks.

And then you can decide either to stick with the amazing T1.6 or splash out for an even more awesome T2, depending on whether the feature/cost ratio works for you.

hehe. That is pretty funny. But here is the thing:

Isn't the custom color settings cool? Being able to customize the colors is way cool.

What about the 64 bit summing? That kicks ass. Who doesn't like stuff to sound better? Step recording is cool if you miss your hardware sequencers.

I think it's pretty damn cool so far.

I would have thought the compatibility between Mackie HDR/SDR edits and Tracktion would have aroused more interest - i.e. what has been added to Tracktion's audio-editing capabilities to enable this?

Wheeeeerrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeesss the beef?????

That's an awfully big bun...

Wheeeeeeeeeeerrrreeessss the beef????????

I don't think anyones in there.............

I think it's ridiculous to rail against the method of the T2 "striptease". I mean, at the very least we're going to know everything in a few weeks, probably at NAMM, eh?

But I think it would be good if they threw in a more universal kind of feature with every three or four of the kind that they've mentioned so far - better MIDI editing, plugins, better loop stretching, etc. Assuming those will be in there, but you know what I mean...

Damn! what the hell is going on round here lately?

The groundhogging was bad enough at times, but this shit is bordering on insanity.

I think it kind of works like this: Tracktion 2 may or may not be the sequencer you hoped it would be. If it isn't you can either hope that Tracktion 2.5 or whatever addresses any shortfallings, stivk with T1, or move to another sequencer. Either way, it isn't a nasty mackie conspiracy to piss on your new year, it's just that it doesn't do what *you* need.

Am I excited about T2? Dunno, can't say. It looks like a solid base to work from. So far it also looks like it'll add enough of the features that I need in the short-term to iron out a few of my bigger gripes with T1. One way ot the other, I'm not going to go postal over it though. If Tracktion V1 was that crap I wouldn't be bleedin' using it would I?
