Well said. I hear this phrase all the time now... and I suspect, as Ron claims, half (or more) of the people don't really care less about gayness or otherwise... it is just a 'thing' that lots of people say - so they so it too.

But as you point out it constantly connects the words stupid and gay. This can't be healthy for people who are gay.

Want to slam the boycotts - go ahead - just try not to make any minorities collateral damage.

At least the edits were funny. However, a quick point of contention--

I am an educator. That's what I do for a living, but it's also what I "am". As such, it's not only my job but also my personality to combat ignorance. Stupidity is a word I avoid using, even though I'd be lying if I didn't say that I feel the urge to say "That's f**king stupid" from time to time. I've discovered that 'stupid' people aren't usually lacking intelligence, and the ones that are often have social or physiological (sp?) reasons for it.

To me, stupidity is simply wilful ignorance. And if you INSIST on being ignorant, then you're stupid.

Continuing right along--

Ron, wilful ignorance = stupidity vs. wilful gay = fag... that comparison doesn't even make sense to me, since I believe that homosexuality is NOT a choice. Furthermore, it simply doesn't make any logical sense, since in the original premise, "ignorant" and "stupid" are not synonyms. Hence my suggestion that it was stupid to be WILFULLY ignorant. In your counter-example, the words ARE synonyms, but one is considered a negative term. So... it's not an accurate or logical counter-example.

You didn't "use" Postulate, you wrote it. That's different. Even if you know what it means and are able to use it in a sentence properly (hey, what do I know? Maybe you do and can!), that doesn't demonstrate any more intelligence than knowing what "cat" means and using it in a sentence. It just happens to be a less common word than, say, "premise".

No need to continue being snotty. That's just being wilfully ignorant.

Ya know Ron, you may wonder why people give you a hard time. Maybe you know why, and if you do, you're a troll, because you do it on purpose. But if you don't, then you must be 12 years old or something.

Every post you make either 1)Says something negative about the subject at hand, 2)Says something rude or derogatory, 3)complains about something, or 4)supports someone who is doing any of the above.

Plain and simple, alot of people are tired of reading your posts. They respond, as I do, because of human nature and the desire to be heard. But it's really getting old. You don't have faith in Mackie, we know. You don't like this marketing method, so what. The features YOU want haven't been mentioned yet, so you discount T2 and say it won't be what it could be, well who cares. You can't possibly have time to make much music. Look at how much time you spend here. I've seen your website. If I saw it without knowing you here, I'd be impressed to an extent. But it's too bad, cause I know you here. And I wouldn't want to utilize your services, mainly because of your attitude here.

Have some patience, take some Ritalin, get a girlfriend, and go graduate gradeschool. It's time to grow up.

I really wish I could say I didn't mean this personally, but I'm not so sure. I hope you're a better guy in real life. If you are, my apolagies go out to you for everything I've said. But I'm not too confident that you're all there. I haven't lost all respect for you, because I feel that a part of you wants to help others here. But most of what you do is pretty much trolling.
