I think Mackie will reveal that Jules is "virtual" ... nothing more than a bunch of code and a biproduct of their highly touted and secretive research department.
For those that met jules a few months back for that tracktion meet in the uk... you've been duped! and that picture on the mackie site... I've seen that guy in all sorts of infomercials.
Lets get real here... this is just the beginings of music intellegent software that writes music software! besides JULES is just an acronym:
J9E73 Uniform Life Emission System
Jo (muzys) was one of their early prototypes.. but it went haywire, so they destroyed it.
You've been warned!

Or worse... it's like an early version of the Matrix and Tracktion will become too perfect and we won't be able to take it and... and.. and... <breathes into paper bag>klagga wrote: I suspect that reality is far worse than that. Soon we´ll all find out that Tracktion has never existed for real, It has just been a big cruel mass candid camera thing and a cruel joke from Steinberg. Soon we´ll wake up and find out that we´re back to Cubase. Aaaaarrggh!!!
Yeah, NAMM tomorrow. Great stuff.

That'd be freakin' great. Then when I write crap music I could argue that artistically I'm just rebelling against the perfection of my environment.GaryG wrote:Tracktion will become too perfect

Hey d'v,d'versa wrote:nah, don't think so...i guess release will be more close to summer.
Found this on the traction site:I wish they did release it on namm**Additional Note: This promotion will not run indefinitely. We are reluctant at this time to declare a closing date for this promotion based on the final release date of v2. Expect an update sometime this summer on the status of the v2 release as well as a more definitive end of the promotion. Don't worry... we'll give you plenty of notice for you to find a few more friends to purchase Tracktion before we close the door. Thanks for playing.
is this with regards to T2?...not quite clear...if so, which page of which of the tracktion sites did you find this?
Thaks.

The logical way to think is that NAMM is the place. Of course, we'll all have to wait until tomorrow and see, but I really think it could happen there. Has anyone seen Beno around here today? Maybe he's travelling to Los Angeles.
Anyway, it would be bad timing(IMHO) for Mackie to not take advantage of NAMM. NAMM is where new products are often shown. The magazines are there, professionals are there, laymen are there. It's a virtual melting pot. And with T2 being advertised in mags and online in this forum, the timing can't possibly be coincidental(or maybe it could?).
I hope to wake up in the morning and see release info for Tracktion. Who knows, maybe it will be a release date. But I'd be happy with a full feature list. Ya know, something to drool over. Could they be saving the best for last? I sure hope so. And Beno did say that there were "many, many" smaller features from here on KVR that have been added. So here's to waiting and seeing!

I doubt T2 will be "released" at NAMM, but I would think it will be more fully announced in terms of its features, and also a release date announced, which I still hope will be February 2.

Yep. Starting tommorrow, when you double-click on your Tracktion icon, it will load Cubase VST 3.7! On top of that every 5 minutes a popup will inform you that there is an upgrade available to SX3 for free, but you'll need to send in 2,500 boxtops of luckycharms to get the dongle.klagga wrote:ModuLR wrote:I think Mackie will reveal that Jules is "virtual" ... nothing more than a bunch of code and a biproduct of their highly touted and secretive research department.
