I'm using Windows XP SP2 with a Mad Dog 5.1 sound card AND Tracktion 1.6.0.1 - the latest version, as far as I can tell.liqih wrote: by the post above by AndrewSimon,
it seems to work in latest Tracktion,
but there could be an OS or audio card driver issue,
it would be interesting to know which OS and card
are you and AndrewSimon are using,
thanks

Could this be anything to do with a difference between the licensed and unlicensed versions?
Also, could it be anything to do with AMD processors? (I'm using a 1800XP+).
Computer Music also mentioned something about non-SSE enabled machines. I don't know what that means, but could it be a reason?

I'm thinking this is the problem, since the only successful instance came with someone who had the registered version. I found this same problem posted on Computer Music's website with no solution there either.AlanB wrote:Could this be anything to do with a difference between the licensed and unlicensed versions?

liqh... could you try CM EVE on Tracktion and give it a shot? Make sure the regular CM isn't on there. It plays the instruments, but when you try to record or playback it usually bombs out.

Thanks liqh!
So, I downloaded that newer build and I've almost got it working.
I can record and playback something, but when I play it back, the selected preset always changes to 64, which doesn't have anything in it. I don't know if this is a Tracktion problem or a CM EVE problem. However, while it's playing back, I can change the preset back to what I recorded with and it plays, until it loops again.
any more ideas? thanks!

doesn't Tracktion have a way to filter program changes?dczx wrote:Thanks liqh!

at last! solved!
had to click on midi track and then "insert program change then "remove all program change messages from clip" else set the clip to a preset in same menu.
thanks liqh - long live EVE!
