version 2.2!! :-o
Shite - now what?
Try 2.2 or revert to 1.8?
Decisions, decisions.

Well, I don't think installing the 1.8 will do any harm. Just make sure you run the un-install for whichever version you are running currently.

I'd say uninstall v2 and then install v1.8 and see if it works for you. If that doesn't work, it's no problem to uninstall v1.8 and then go back to v2 again.

I switched between the 2 various times whilst trying to work out what was going wrong.

:D

Make sure you have any inputs disabled in the asio4all panel as this cuts down on the latency problems.

The soundcard will show up as wdm as that is what native routine windows uses to communicate with, so thats ok.

You can also have both versions installed.

May help! :)

You cant beat people up then have them say "I love you"

OK, took the plunge (just before fake posted) and uninstalled v2 in favour of 1.8.

Instantly noticable improvement in the performance of the tune that I'm currently working on. :D

ceenda - thanks for the good advise.
krim, fake and opi - thanks also. :)
(fake - I've got the 'disable input' button checked - I asume that's what you meant?)

I'll give it a test over a couple of days, see how it performs over time. 8)

Yep, thats the one.

There was a thread a while ago about it with some comments from the guy who developed it. He recommended that you disable the inputs as it works better.

it's right. WDM stands for windows driver model. Asio 4 all can only provide asio (audio stream input output) to wdm compliant sound cards.

what i think he might need to do is raise his ks buffers to 3.
he's very grateful for that tip.
he thanks you very much.
