Weirdly, I used to be a big fan of placebo (well, mainly cause ones of my ex-girlfriend's was friends with them), but they went horribly bad after the first album.

Plus they do horrible cover versions

who remembers "something good" by Utah Saints, the rave anthem which sampled miss Bush? A few years ago, when I was working for Our Price, we were playing the song from which that sample was taken (cloudbusting is it?) and some spotty student said "is this Utah saints?!" We told him "no it's Kate Bush" and he just shrugged and said "never heard of her"....

Ho hum. I much prefer 'Without You...' which I think is excellent. Been listening to it most of today in fact.

Nah, the Comfortably Numb cover was a stroke of genius! If there's any band in the annals of rock history deserving of having the piss taken out of them for being so comically, arse-clenchingly serious, it's Pink Floyd. Bring on the gayed-up disco cover of the entire The Wall album, I say!

Me too, but only because Brian provided me with so many ace wank fantasies as a confused teenager now that I actually stop and think about it.

at this point someone should submit that link to the Kate Bush demo songs (from when she was 17 or so)...just so we can all know how talentless we are.

:-o that's beautifully honest, and I commend you on that.

Not sure it was wise to be so candid around this place though :?
