i would get furious if somebody sampled the drums from a tune i did...
it cant be right, no matter what the law says!
if i wanted a certain style of drums i would try to create them my self!' it sounds like some people want to make things real simple for them selfs!
IMO its okej to download free looops and buy sample-Cds, but sample drums from songs sounds very lame..
baahh f**king lamers!
Spe3D! dont support such actions!!!
You obviously dont know shit about shit. "Ripping" is widely practiced in the production/sampling industry.

maybe not! but if you would clarify what sampling really is i would know! right now it sounds like its raw samplings from other songs..
is it a food samples?
So what is "samples from songs"? can you be more clear?
anyway, do what ever you please! i just think its kind of lame sampling drums or sounds from songs...
not all will share my opinion! each to their own..
Please share the black art of sampling??

Ackelito, just because you don't agree with using samples of other music in your music doesn't make it 'lame'. The majority of dance music, pop and hip hop sample other tunes and breaks. That's the reality hlmst is trying to point out. It's illegal to market it as your own music but as long as copyright is paid what's the problem? It's the foundation of a lot of pop hits and I'm sure that whoever did the Kylie/Blue Monday mix didn't clear all the samples until after creating the mix and testing it out on white label. Technically that may be illegal but that's how it's worked for the last two decades.
It's one thing to request that sharing of breaks and samples doesn't happen on a site and I'm cool with that. Warning people not to do it is the way to go. But to have people accusing others of being 'lame' and insulting them because they create music in a different way is just rude.

@spe3d: I really see your concern about legal stuff. Those who host have to be 100% sure that they don't host something illegal ("illegal" from a lawyer's point of view). You didn't host something illegal, but something that pointed to something "illegal". So I appreciate for not having asked you. I thought it would be done by asking the person who hosts the actual pack.
@the others:
1. Spe3d didn't support me in any way. (as vurt already said, but I'd like to clarify that) So don't f*ckin blame him. Blame me if you feel like it, but don't blame a person who offered something to a person who uploaded something that pointed to something illegal.
2. You'd be amazed how differently different communities react. I believe KvR is a more synth- than sample-based bunch of producers. If you buy a synth and you get a sound out of it, it is legal. But apparently, most of you aren't into sampling at all and they think they steal something when they sample it. You wouldn't say you "steal" something when you use a synth preset or drums from a drum library, would you?
@Ackelito: I may not be able to explain the "black art of sampling" to you. Listen to DJ Shadow or LTJ Bukem and you'll see that sampling is more than stealing.
And guess what: You can bet that both of them have "their mind on alert", as you said. How else would they have gotten so far?
And: to get to the central question: Why aren't they in jail if they "just stealed" everything and did nothing by themselves?
Simple answer: They cleared their samples!
When I uploaded the pack I seriously thought that everyone who would use the samples in a song will CLEAR ALL THE SAMPLES once the song turns out to get famous. So a breaks pack is by no means (and can't be) a finished pack of elements, free to be used in a song.
It is rather a library of samples which can be auditioned. If you want to use the breaks in something famous, you have the name of the song and where it is from so you can clear it.
@herodotus: Don't be fresh. You jerk are ruining my fun with your behaviour.

umm.
sorry but I think this is a slight over reaction,
(I understand you concern Peter
but I can pretty much rest assure all of you there are commercial sample cd's out there by big name companys using sample from vinyl beats.
this is something that is done over and over again since sampling history, nost recycle and re-arrange stuff anyway, afaik there is no hard and fast law over drum beats.
whole chunks of music or major melody is a different ball game.
anyway, just my opinion.
cheers/
