The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Because of your raving, I went ahead and tried it, and it crashed 4 times in a row. I think there might be a bad .dll somewhere in my vstplugin folder.

I just started using Savihost today. It works great for me. :D

@Lunatique:
If you want to, you can send me your MiniHost.log file and I can try to find out what causes the crash.

Also, what are the main problems with MIDI in MiniHost? I now the event granularity is not as good as it should be, causing some timing issues, but I am working on that. Apart from that, anything MIDI specific that MH handles incorrectly?

The only thing I don't like about MiniHost is that I haven't donated the money for it yet. Ah yeah, I'm a twat. I'll donate some today, sorry Toby!

It's a must have tool for SynthEdit/SynthMaker developers since it allows you to easily load the plugin, try out the presets, rearrange them, check the CPU usage and so on. I't just awesome! :)

Sorry Tobybear - its just that I'm still getting sustains and hanging notes on my system even since the midi engine update. I didn't bother bringing it up again as its obviously just my system.

Actually, it crashes with various VST plugins, not just one or a few. Also, sometimes setting number of octaves in the keyboard doesn't respond unless I restart. I really think the problem is on my end because I have a problematic machine.

it's funny, BONES, but the day before you started this thread I was considering making a second donation, because I use Minihost so often when noodling around with new synths

(and I did, after checking the monthly bills)

it's nice to help support such a useful project, and devs like Tobybear and others, who give so much

the secret return of the gift economy :D

All hail Bones... Thanks for the info, I've tried this out and it is perfect for what I want.

The only problem I have noticed is it doesn't like Concretefx's new Rock synth. The GUI goes all wierd and I have to close it down, but other than that, everything seems fine.
