they still got that silly clock in the right hand corner, mine never kept the right time and ya can't get rid of it....

Zee clock! She's useless!

Actually, mine seems to keep time just fine... but you're right that there's no real point to it.

Yes. So now I have 4 choices:

1. look at the clock on the wall
2. look at the watch on my wrist (not always wearing one, mind)
3. look at the bottom right of my screen in the task bar
4. look on the top right to the Tracktion clock.

I think I'll be just fine without #4. ;)

When I first started using Tracktion, it would block the taskbar when it loaded, thus using maximum screen real estate (I just had to check, it doesn't do that anymore, not sure why). The clock, I believe, was there so that you didn't have to minimize T to see what time it is on your taskbar clock. I remember thinking "wow, nice going" when I noticed that.

Lightwave 3D does a similar thing, it's almost like a full-screen app. I wish T would still do that, I know it used to.

Have to play around a bit and see if I can get it working again.

Edit: yep, just got it working again. In WinXP, if you "Auto-Hide the Taskbar" one time, maximize T, then untick "Auto-Hide the Taskbar" it'll remain full-screen. I knew I wasn't imagining things.

Thus the clock, so you don't have to minimize to check the time.

@dealwithit:

You can just autohide the taskbar.

That was apparently the original reason for it. Although I never find myself looking at it, that's the best explanation for it. :D

Anyone else think this is an unnecessarily confusing way of saying 'it will be sold in a box'?
In one of my recent (IT) projects, one of the project members used the term 'out of the box'. Another one didn't know that term, and interpreted it as 'things that are not in the box when we buy it' :D. (It's was only a $20+mln project, so this little confusion didn't really matter ;)
