It doesnt hurt to send jules a short note. He might like it, and consider it for a future adding to the never ending "to do list!" If you keep the note simple, cleare, and dont ask questins!
when I asked for it about one and a half years ago he wrote something like 'it surely is no big deal to move two clips instead of one'

Remind me: why is it you hang out on this forum again?

:P
I'll remind you:

because I have ~130 projects in various states of evolution in my Tracktion folder :P

Well, if you stopped wasting so much time complaining that Tracktion isn't as good as EXT, you might get round to finishing them.. :hihi:

:-o cheeky!

some things about Tracktion are outstanding, unique and wonderful - I'd never deny that!

Jorgen is only half-human. Since we continue to shrug shoulders, I guess it doesn't hurt to point out that although he's half-human, there are a million other mission-critical feature requests that were NOT implemented in one day and still aren't implemented.

You can't just pick the evidence that suits your argument, Jens. ;) Or you can, but we're not all stupid enough to go for it.

I would love this to be added to T2! in logic i had it on all the time, i miss it so much :( but not as much as the things i dont miss :D

for a while I thought I missed that rapid fire development... like eXT has.. but now I realize that I really don't. eXT is becoming exceedingly cluttered with ideas that could be a bit more thought out IMHO. I still love jorgon's work tho, so don't take this as a dis... but I think it's becoming an example of things moving too fast.

really? :? - I think it's exactly the opposite currently - Jorgen has stopped adding new features and only improves what's there - and boy, how I love these improvements...  :-D

what ? miniaml extra steps ? think of it on 8 drumtracks cutet to lets say 2 parts for srophe, 1-3 for refrain, some bridges and solos, some breaks and fills... but yes it's the methode i'm working with right now and believe me it's also horrible.
Ok ....you create an "outline" track with blank midi clips that you name "chorus" , "Verse", "Bridge" etc. You color code them so it easy to see where you are. You put # markers at each point.

Now lets say you want to move the bridge. You put the in marker at the start and the out marker at the end of the bridge. Then chose "select clips between markers". Ctrl-deselect the clips you dont want to move, like the ones that are after the bridge, but overlap. Then drag the whole mess where you want it. The blank midi clip named "bridge" snaps to the new location, but all the clips are still relative to it, and have not been snapped to the beat.

Piece of cake really. I do it all the time. If you need to do "parts" of a bridge or whatever, then slice the midi clip acordingly.

Don't be too quick to dismiss. Somebody just MAY have a 'workaround' that you hadn't though of, or a new way of doing it that hadn't occurred to you. That selecting multiple clips thing sounded pretty reasonable, and to be honest I'm so visual that I hadn't even THOUGHT of just changing the number value. I suspect that even if you don't admit it publicly, a few of the suggestions have made you think at least, "OK, well that will make it a BIT easier."

If its just a snare..... then just move that...
