And now SF7 hangs my whole sound card! That's it, I don't think I need SF8!

my p4 2gh winxp sp2 machine will not load sf8. my newer machine, p4 3.8gh winxp sp2 machine wouldn't load sf8 the first time but when it shutdown, i selected 'debug' and it's been troublefree. it's timeconsuming loading all the plugs (vst and dx) into the 'favorites' folder, but once done, i haven't had any problem loading and previewing different plugs on a given track...haven't played with it a whole lot yet, but it's seeming to fit the bill for me...certainly worth the $100 to get vst support, in my opinion.

It could be because we're still running Win2k at work...but it's supposed to work on 2k...who knows. I really think I'm ok with SF7 and wrappers...or Wavelab

For the record, I mentioned this same issue on an earlier thread. I am using XP Home, and Soundforge 8. Have the same problem with the vsti presets, and cannot find anything on the Sony forum.
