Problem with Sound Forge 8 VST presets

Finally Sound Forge 8 has VST support. But I noticed one problem there - SF ignores VST presets. If the plugin has a few internal presets, they are listed in drop down menu. When i'm selecting the presets there, nothing happens - parameters does not change. How to solve that?
P.S. If the plugin has internal preset selector, it works. Using Windows 2000

Dr. Rox:
Seems to work ok with Win XP. You need to post on the SoundForge forum if you are having a problem. Here you go: http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/f ... ?ForumID=3
Good Luck!

I changed my e-mail-address over at Sony a year ago. I got many mails about products I don't own but should buy. I did get the mail with the price-reduction for an upgrade as first mail to my WRONG and old address and so missed this price (99$, now it will be 149).
I tested the demo even though. Apart from the vst-support it adds the CD-architect. Now you can burn "red-book-compatible" CDs like Wavelab could before (I was told). For 149$ I won't get the upgrade though, I'm a little bit pissed off by the way Sony sends mails...
Good thing though is that the upgrade is 149$ as it seems for EVERY person who owns Soundforge, not only for Soundforge 6 or 7...so jumping from 4 to 8 might be wonderful

So I have missed the opportunity to get Sound Forge upgrade for $99 because sony are crap and despite 5 emails telling them that my email has changed, I got no repsonse and appear to have missed out on a special offer - wankers
Although, they are quite content to send me junk mail on products I do not own.

Hey, another one
. I think the offer was out for ONE day, but am not quite sure.
Special notice: on my REAL and CHANGED address they sent me an e-mail stating I should get Soundforge8 for 279$ instead of the full price which is 399$...
. Well, they took my real e-mail for that of a person who is interested in their products without owning one
. But I may be old, I'm not THAT old to buy products a second time

Hey, I'm answering myself all the time
. To do them justice and if anybody was interested, at the website
http://www.custcenter.com
and then clicking yourself to Soundforge8 there are the options for new purchases and upgrades. Even if they told me to buy it AGAIN
those options seem to be open until April 15. So that's not too bad.
edit: better links are below. The one with custcenter works too, you are directed to a FAQ-page, and number 3 is about soundforge and upgrading. If you click that you're there...

Shamann:
I am really happy with the upgrade. I went from v.6 to v.8 because of many useful features, such as: Vst effect support, ASIO driver support, volumn and pan envelopes, CD Architect 5.2 with extra audio channel feature, time record, volumn threshold record, and the vinyl restoration plug. Lots of nice stuff. It meets my needs so completely that I will not probably upgrade furtner, so it was deffinetly worth the $99 upgrade price for me.

I think in that case you can simply go to the website named above, and if you got your license they give you an upgrade.TechnoWeeniePas wrote:Odd....they have my email right (get plenty of email from em) but I never got a $99 or even a $149 upgrade offer from them

Try the link below as posted by Sony in the SF forum. The upgrade options are spelled out along with the April 15th deadline. After that upgrades go back up to $149.

I upgraded from SF v4.0 to v8.0. The upgrade bought me acoustic mirror, Wave hammer, CDA 5.2 plus lots of other functionality in SF8.0. For $99 I'd say it's one a 'heckuva' deal.

i'm going to get this upgrade....but i paid each upgrade from 5 to 6, 6 to 7, now 7 to 8. it's still a good deal, but dang. maybe i should have waited like you, rncmkg. i think ...i'm pre3tty sure i paid preemo price for the other upgrades, too. i was happy to get acoustic mirror....tho it turns out i never use it, and same goes for wavehammer, i can't remember anything new in any one upgrade....seems like the prog i use now....7.0, is the same as 5, at least for what i use it for. the vst support will be cool, but i'll probably just dick with it for a bit and forget it. cda, tho, i'm pretty sure i'm going to get use out of, so all's well, i guess. how come a good deal never feels like a good deal after you find out somebody else got a better deal!!?

I'm finding performance pretty dodgy with SF8 - it takes a long time to open the program, it's very slow opening the plug-in dialogue and I get the hourglass for a few seconds merely closing a file...it feels less stable.
It's cool that they finally put in native VST support, but it's so SLOW...and if you add a new dll to your vstplugins folder, you have to go through the whole scanning process again; much slower than Wavelab. Anybody else experiencing gimpyness with SF8?
