there's been plenty of grumbling, but i don't remember seeing any posts saying that it's impossible to make music with T.valley wrote:I'm puzzled why so many people belive it is impossible to make music with T1.

Why else? Frustration! That's the only reason I've ever heard of for name calling.jens wrote:why all this name-calling from both sides?
As for the "either it fulfils your expectations or it doesn't," that's all fine and dandy if we didn't already know what to expect. The part that's yanking my chin-hair is that people have come up with some bizarre unfulfilled expectations all the sudden. Nothing in T2 is a surprise, so what's the point in being upset that your pet feature didn't make it?

sorry, but we didn't know what to expect - that's just nonsense - well, at least I didn't know...
- did I know if I can now finally mute and solo frozen tracks? no!
- did I know if each frozen track now is frozen to a sepperate file? no!
- did I know if there is the ability to toggle between absoluet and relative snap? no!
- did I know if the project management has been getting better? no!
f**k did I know!
...just a few examples and disappointment - I could go on and on...

Of course you could. That's what trolls are good for.
But what you're listing is things that you didn't know about, which makes no logical sense. I could just as easily say "I didn't realize that it would not make me toast. Damn thing still doesn't make me any toast!!!"
Just because your points are in the language of sequencers doesn't make them logically valid. That's just an illusion.
Give it a whirl:
I didn't know that Tracktion doesn't allow non-destructive normalization to be visualized in the waveform.

Well, there is something to be said about overexplaining
