Also no shame in being impressed and being a fan.
Doesn't make someone a religious fanatic.
No shame in disappointment

Got T1 in 12-03. It felt like a revolution. XT didn't really exist yet, and I knew that Reason was bugging me but didn't know why. Now, with T2, T1 is complete. That's really it. There's no second revelation, it's just the same intuitive/logical mind-meld that Jules started with:, but evolved. I can sympathize with people wanting The Next Big Step, but with Mackie involved it's not going to happen with Tracktion. Jules is a genius, no question, but not an iconoclast like Jorgen, he just cut the Gordian knot because it was in his way. I love XT but its still easier to work in Tracktion. That's the bottom line, workflow. It's always possible to find fault, the space given to buttons drives my crazy, but the several single developer hosts that have followed Tracktion, in spite of many positive qualities, just haven't gotten the same following. I think the negatives are because Tracktion was supposed to lead some kind of crusade. My sense was that Jules just wanted a better tool. And that's what T2 is, a better tool. There's still room for the next great program, and I hope it happens. But I'm also glad to work with Tracktion, and wish there were more gratitude, and more respect for this accomplishment.
Pythagorean perennialist.
