That's exactly how it seems to me.

That might be the case, but the fact that all the print advertising and magazine reviews hit before even the box contents is known makes me think that there has been some sort of glitch.

Go look at the rest of Mackie's marketing. They do that kind of thing all over the place. It's part of Mackie's corporate indenity to be a little irreverent. Also, they were probably trying to show that the appreciate the community that surrounds Tracktion. It's a shame that when a company reaches out and says "we appreciate you," so many people feel it necessary to accuse them of desperation. Everyone moans about faceless companies, bugt then they moan when companies have an indentity too.

Actually, even though I was really fed up with waiting, now that the demo sits on my HD but not letting me do anything real with it, it kinda irritates me even more. Just a little unlock code and wham, all that power in my hands. But no, I have to sit here just thinking about how nice it would be to actually be able to use it for atleast a month for no apparent reason... sigh..

yes of course you can't do ANYTHING with it. you can still work and save and load and way more than you can with most demos.

I would buy T2 right now, as is. T2 is stable, has a solid feature set, is fun and costs very little. Add in all the Mackie and 3rd party plug-ins, and it is a fantastic deal!

One suggestion for Mackie: Make presets of some of the very helpful "how to use racks' posts here in this forum and include them with T2. This forum is a valuable resource and lots of people will not have the benefit of it.
