Anyone doing video in T2?

I know this is a workaround... but you can create a track and insert labeled midi clips as detailed track markers. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

I like that better functionally.

Using clips, it is very clear what an area is. There is a beginning and an end. Markers just all look the same and become confusing when there are lots of them (talking about other software with the lots of them comment)

This may be a bit off topic, but how does Vegas video editing compare to e.g. Premiere?

I had Premiere with a Matrox RTX10, sold that and bought Vegas, and you can't pay me enough to go back to Premiere.

And can't you make music in Vegas like you do in ACID?

A lot of pro recording studio use Vegas as their main multitrack recording app, but it doesn't compare to Acid in any way, in fact, it's closer to Tracktion workflow than to Acid, probably the reason why I like Tracktion so much. But it doesn't do midi or deal with VST/VSTI whatsoever, and I've been told by a SonicFoundry rep that to integrate midi into Vegas would imply changing the core of the program as it's not compatible (whatever that means, as I'm not a programmer), supposed to be a lot of work. I don't care as I love the Tracktion/Vegas combo, and a few more features and tweak integrated into Tracktion and it'll be the perfect combo.

i had to use premiere in uni last year and it wound me up a treat.

it also made me realise that EVERY timeline based app should have T's right-click drag zooming ability..
