My explanation: I'm not going to use it, and as long as it's not in my way, I don't really care. I none of my other programs (e.g. Office etc.) is double-click used for delete.

That answer is, I'm afraid, not working for me. It isn't in Office so it shouldn't be in Tracktion? How about Rewire? The same?

In all seriousness, how about a setup option to have it either way? Otherwise, no one could ever convince me that it wasn't an incredibly handy, time and motion saving feature lost to the capricious winds of change. Like when all of a sudden both sides of a split were left selected after a split operation: stupid. Before at least you were right half the time...

Like when all of a sudden both sides of a split were left selected after a split operation:
Hey thats a good point!! - imho the clip on the right should be selected - if you want the other one its a single keystroke. That way you get the clip you want with 0 or 1 keystrokes as opposed to now where it takes 2.

double-click for delete didn't work for me though...

And why is that? Because sometimes a single click is not enough and two clicks is too many. Because sometimes I'll want to hear that single note, so I click it and I want to hear again because it was so beautiful and I click it again and it's deleted. WTF? I always seem to delete more than one note at a time, so I select a bunch of them and hit the delete key key with great glee. But maybe that's just me, hee-hee.

There should be a poll about the double click delete thing. But we can all agree that we want select right clip after split.

I do it by mistake. I am comfortable with pressing the delete key anyhow and don't want stuff dissapearing.

If you're on a Mac, dbl.clicking things don't usually make them go away... But, some PC programs, work that way... Somebody must have requested it, eh?
