How do you expect the pro audio world to take Tracktion seriously if you can't even take it seriously?
I don't think they are trying to market Tracktion to the "pro audio world". (not even if they are saying they do)
90% of the income is from prosumers like most of us.

Disclaimer
The 90% is not an actual statistic figure.
It is a guess based on my feelings.
All trolls that feel the urge to jump up every time they see a "%" sign,
hold your horses and read the disclaimer. :x

Wrong, its a bad promo video.

Yah but even prosumers want what they think is "pro" stuff - they just want it at a price they can afford!

Yeah the ad brochures that come with the mixers are funny, the wittiness is good up to a certain point, the humor on the website is young and happy, but man...

.........they'd all have been fired the moment the first ten seconds were played back for me in the board room.

If you want to be taken as seriously as ........................ If you don't stop with the idiocy, none of will be using it. It's gonna go belly up.

Make the best of it. Not fun of it.

I said this before and everyone jumped on my case.
Mackie is killing Tracktion :x
Being a "Production, advertising and marketing" graduate. I can tell you that the whole Mackie/Tracktion deal was going perfectly well until they "released" T2. At that point it has been shown that those in charge of the marketing strategies are a bit too green for the international market. Well how could they not be when they have taken care of the USA area only (Mainland Europe and I assume the rest of the world, is yet to see a "local" box of T2 and no shop in Spain cares to order any as of this date).
This totally reeks incopetence and lack of professionalism. They want to cater to the pro market by using lousy jokes and cheap humour? Gimme a break!!!
Jules better wake up before they mess up all the hard work he has done so far. :(
I´ll step back for yet another fanatic flame war to go off

 it doesn't stop... (again)

I think that video is great! Oh and I'm not prosumer, I'm just pro  .

Maybe the video will get some of you so called "pros" with sticks up your asses to move on to a sequencer with more boring demo videos.

i feel the need to join mod and ad80 ...

AD80:

A) yes most pros have sticks in their (our) asses.
B) for a product to be maximally successful it must appeal to stick-up ass types (viz. ProTools, MS Word)
C) if you took the stick out of the asses the world would be covered in shit.

I love T - hope it is profitable for M and stays alive.

Post

A) doesnt make it a good thing

B) depends on your definition of (and context for) success

C) eat less fibre

I'm a 'pro'. I haven't got a stick up my ass: no room, my heads already up there! ;)

I thought it was pretty funny myself.. :hihi:

ProTools?
Object orientation - filters can be hosted on clips, clips can be layered on tracks,
Samplitude?
tracks can be routed to other tracks, clips and tracks can be rendered etc etc.
Live?
Efficiency - small file sizes, light CPU loads,
Reason?
freezing allows arbitrary mix complexity. Quality - 64 bits internal - 32 bit output via render.
Sonar?
Racks - racks!.
Reaktor, eXT, Audiomulch, Bidule...?

Tracktion: a fantastic combination of the best bits from "the others" - in theory at least...

...but revolutionary? I don't quite see that bit...

Have you ever even been near a Pro Tools system? Theres nothing flat about its GUI. And it has a gang of menus. And the mixer screen is separate from anything else. Why would you even mention PT's GUI ?

Tracktions GUI is closer to Live's.
