I always thought they were a bit..."worthy"...

What bugged me most about them though, wasn't actually them, but the nauseating beatified expressions on the faces of Coldplay fans, the smug, knowing nods..."Yeah, this is really it, isn't it? And Chris is like sooo cute yeah?" [:wretch: :heave:]

They can "do" live though, and rather well. I thought some of the songs were okay - although they tended to proceed at a snail's pace. But having heard bits of the new album, they seem to have forgotten how to write songs too...

I really like the second album, but the new songs I heard form the new album just sounded so predictable and lame.

I just feel like there are few mainstream bands that are any good...

so bands like coldplay, U2, Beck......umm....

get my respect.

Did....in the 80's early 90's. I cheered up a bit since then (apart from mood swings/depression and massive comedowns

I dont listen to either these days, and i stopped listening to DM before RH came around.

Well, im avin a hard time at the mo....last week was good, kicked off again sunday, so this week will be crap, w-end will be good (got the boy) and next week wil be slightly better cos im hopefully going out fri 17th...phew

just seems strange to lump radiohead in with all those bands you mentioned.
