There's already a stickied FR list at the top of the forum.ttoz wrote:there is nothing wrong with keeping this list compiled, maybe mackie and Jules will actually take note! Keep em coming peoples.

But I haven't seen any of the suggestions made recently get added to it.valley wrote:

I have a few wishes, they should be pretty easy, actually - they're really just "macros":
- When you render tracks and keep the old ones, it should automatically mute and disable filters on the originals, and name the new tracks "old track name - rendered". If folders become a feature, automatically putting the originals in a folder would help also.
- Be able to create a play order of marked regions, so if you want to hear your song with the chorus going an extra time, half-length verse, or without the bridge, etc.

Probably because those requests have been buried inside threads rather than posted as simple, clear, and labelled FRs.jplanet wrote:But I haven't seen any of the suggestions made recently get added to it.valley wrote:

Starting a topic labelled: "FR: clip based automation" with a clear, consise description of what it is, and how it could work, for example, is more likely to get noticed than if the request is made as part of an ongoing converstaion that may or may not be of interest to haydxn, Mod, or myself.
I actually requested this myself a while back, but at the time there was still a fair amount of discussion about how it might be implemented, so I never added it as a formal request. You'll notice it is listed in the discussion thread for that feature though.- When you render tracks and keep the old ones, it should automatically mute and disable filters on the originals, and name the new tracks "old track name - rendered". If folders become a feature, automatically putting the originals in a folder would help also.
I thought that one was in the list, but apparently the improved song markers reuqest got watered down a little. I'll add a discussion thread.- Be able to create a play order of marked regions, so if you want to hear your song with the chorus going an extra time, half-length verse, or without the bridge, etc.

Haydn? Is Haydn a mod? If so why isn't he listed?valley wrote: Starting a topic labelled: "FR: clip based automation" with a clear, consise description of what it is, and how it could work, for example, is more likely to get noticed than if the request is made as part of an ongoing conversation that may or may not be of interest to haydxn, Mod, or myself.

if the developers didn't limit functionality because they were afraid that users would become confused. I spent a long time with technical support on an issue recently, and after implying that the problem was mine at first, he discussed it at length with people there, and I was told that very thing. That really put me off when I thought about it. It signalled to me that this is not intended to be a 'pro' product.
I have since been looking more seriously at EnergyXT, even though it has some of the same limitations currently. However, I have a much stronger belief that the developer will add this functionality quickly, and is more interested in making a highly functional product.
I like Traction, especially the rack filters. Don't get me wrong. But there's something about the 'attitude' of energyxt that I'm really liking a lot more.
