I knew it was 20 something!
But yeah that is a fine suggestion to make the channel strips have more then 6. I think PT just went to +12 as an option.

Topaz used to have "+/-10 gainers" available from their webpage bu they don't appear to be there any more?

actually... the gain thing is pretty awesome, i cant believe i havent been using it. nonetheless dont you guys think it would be nice to have that? ... well ahh anyways there will be a mackie channel strip will there not?
