You have confused a man who checks KvR on his lonely mornings ... I am now sad in my pants ....
lol this is definately the wierdest post Ive seen ... If the original poster was being serious ... SOUND CARDS DONT DO THE RENDERING (unless its a DSP card in which it just provides the processing of effects / virtual instruments).
Cheers

Be careful when rendering. If you try to Undo the operation, you can lock up the whole machine. This is technically known as a...
render undo seizure
... which has a nice Biblical ring to it, no? :-D

I'm still not convinced Ron was being serious. I think he's doing what my friends call "breaking the trust."
It's OK to goof around, tell tall tales, and so forth, but when we ask "for real, are you serious?" you have to fess up, or you have broken the trust.
An example:
Friend: "Hey, I sat in a piece of gum and it's stuck to my shorts! Look at this!"
Me: "Waitasec... if I look down, am I going to see you stretching your scrotum out through the bottom of your shorts?"
Friend: <laughing> "Yeah, you got me!"
If, however, they respond:
Friend: "No, seriously. I've got gum all over my ass."
And you look down, and you were right all along and you've just been treated to an eyefull of your friend's bawbag, then he has officially BROKEN THE TRUST and is reviled for weeks and made the whipping boy.
You cannot break the trust.

Are you for real, Greg? Or are you just missing summer school?

Oh, come on. You was teaching, teach. Not a bad lesson either.
As for 2nd guessing Ron's intent, some things are better left unsaid ambiguously...

You don't have to shout!
A simple whimper would have sufficed. There's always other threads to pollute.

Yes...I've heard of it. It's not contagious is it?
I was being sarcastic. And no, you were interupting a silly discussion, not a serious one. At least I hope it wasn't serious.
