Hmm my computer grinds to a halt when the vst scan goes and it last well over an hour. I've complained before but I have no clue why it's so slow.

A lot but I can't imagine that that is really it. I must have them nested wrong or there must be one that bugs up the process, I don't know.

Definitely one of the plugs buggering it up. I have no doubt. Even when I had literally every plug-in I could get my hands on installed, it still only took 5 minutes max. An hour? Something's dodgy.
For the love of God, though, I hope you're not scanning each time you load, or doing a full scan with each new plug-in.
