Having just checked, it says 'produced by Future Sound of London' in fancy writing in the corner.
The spine reads Amorphous Androgynous though, and that's what you see in the rack.
Def 2 diff projects to my mind.
Eh..Tales of Ephidrina, as Amorphous Androgynous, isnt THAT much different from Lifeforms.Glassback wrote:Isness is a brilliant album - I still play it very regularly.
It's a classic mock-up of the psychedelic era, done extremely well, and trippy as.
Not heard of the otherness though - now I'm gonna have to go check it out without a doubt.
To compare Amorphous Androgenous with FSOL though is like comparing Dukes Of Stratosfear with XTC imo. Same bands, but totally different creatures.
Interesting.origami wrote:yes, it seems The isness was released under both names. Click this amazon link and watch the cover of the album.

it was pretty practical if you look at it. FSOL was the important name and they had been 7 years with no new albums...so it was more commercial to put the FSOL name on it. hence my disappointment, since I expected another kind of music. This was well done, but not my cup of tea.
(for psychedelic electronic music, I already have my dear beloved adored 'Legendary Pink Dots'.)
Got the extended CD single version. Brilliant track.Forever Sun wrote:FSOL's Cascade ( the single), to my ears, one of the most beautiful electronic tracks.
Yeah, I remember it coming out. I had it for a while, til it upped and went for a walk...Cryogenic wrote:Eh..Tales of Ephidrina, as Amorphous Androgynous, isnt THAT much different from Lifeforms.
Got My Kingdom as well.origami wrote:Oh I don't have that single. The only single I own is 'My Kingdom'. Does 'cascade' add anything interesting to Lifeforms then?
I hear the Dots when I go round to vurts house but I don't actually own any yet.origami wrote:btw, have you ever listened to The Legendary Pink Dots or The Tear Garden? (both are related). Electronic psychedelic music, very very interesting, my all time favourite band, I recommend you.
