Are you talking thickness in mono or poly mode? In poly you have 3 osc's per voice; in mono all the voice cards are stacked. The sound is hughly thicker in mono. BTW: Is it an original 345A, and does it have the digital midi add-on and tuning tables extension? Just curious
If I manage to get the Jupiter6/8 unison feature going, then Diva will eat your cpu for breaky, and our Memory for lunch :hihi:

Our Memory is an early LAMM (according to Rudi Linhard most likely the first one that was upgraded by Bob himself). Hans Zimmer sold it to me for a dollar under the condition that I'll never emulate it. It serves as an example for "not a Minimoog". In direct comparison it lacks, well, a lot on the smooth side, while the resonance is a bit screechy. It may just be that one we have though... I still need to drive it straight across the country to have it serviced (Rudi does not accept posted goods, he prefers them brought by car)

That said, I think you'll be happy with Diva's, uhm, giantessness (can't say "balls" here, can I?)

Amazonialism?

I changed my mind - these days I'll happily admit that clean is the character that characterizes (sic) both the Jupiter 8 and Zebra2 emulations of same.
Howard are there any presets in Zebra that have been designed to emulate a Jupiter?
If not, do you have any suggestions about how to go about doing it? As in what oscillators, what filters, what envelopes?
I understand the basic architecture of the Jupiter (I have the Arturia one and am not completely satisfied with it's emulation) and am keen to figure out how to get close to something like the first mp3 on this page: http://www.synthmania.com/jupiter-8.htm

I think Amazons derives from 'breastless'? :?

How about fierceness, as in 'Fierce Ruling Diva'?

Well, if there's one thing I've learned over the years ...
Cool, that all sounds very reasonable. What do you mean with:

Don't understand that.

Hm, so still no "instant hit" button? :x  8)

That reminds me of ACE. Flesh eating monster? No survivors, baby! :hihi:

More robust, in-your-face. Less anaemic, fuzzy. More beef, less cabbage etc.. ;)

Ah, thanx. Less cabbage but more beef! I understand that.

That's a great story, Urs! I bought several MM's from Fred McNiff/EJE Research out of Buffalo NY; most were brand new off the shelf, some were restockers...

I had them rebuilt a while ago by a good friend of mine out of state-we talked about the LAMM mod-my friend's opinion is that as long as they've had all the updates (which mine have) the LAMM mod is great to have, but not necessary.

The power supply connector is probably the biggest culprit in MM failure- your better off having the PS hardwired.

Well: It sounds like your well on your way to creating another masterpiece, Urs! You do face some stiff competition (there's some good stuff out there!) But there's something really special about U-He softs...
