You could be right because Reaper x64 automatically bridges 32 bit plugins. Perhaps MUX x64 needs the same kind of automatic ability otherwise I can't use half my plugins with it.braj wrote:Regarding the bit bridge, since Reaper does this automatically I don't know how that will work. I am using JBridge and all my 32 bit plugs work great in MUX bridged. Is there a way in Reaper to create bridged versions? If not I think you'd need JBridge.
To load 32 bit plugins in the 64 bit MUX you also need to plugin the bridged versions into 64 bit MUX. Hope i explain well. Bottomline: Whenever you want to load 32 in 64 you need a bridge.munchkin wrote:I'm using MUX x64 in Reaper 4 x64. MUX allows me to add x64 VST/VSTi plugins but if I try to add any of my 32 bit plugins they are disabled. Do I need to have the 32 bit version of MUX installed to use my 32 bit VST/VSTi's in MUX? If so, how do I do this in Reaper because it will only show the x64 version of MUX.
The fact that the splash screen pops up is a confirmation that MUX has been unlocked. Also the demo noise has gone then.I can't use midi learn with my VST/VSTi's. I can only use it with MUX controls. Does this mean I have to map any plugin controls I want to use to MUX? If so, how do I do this?
Are the VSTs connected to event input? If not then they won't receive the MIDI controller events.
I entered my registration key but MUX doesn't say in the 'about' window whether it registered correctly. Will you make this much clear so I know that I've entered the key correctly please?

That would be great but I'm not sure that it does. At least I've never seen or heard of anything like this.braj wrote:Does reaper create any sort of temp directory with its bridged .dlls? Maybe if it does you can locate it and select those for use in the MUX.
I'm looking in Preferences>Plug-ins>Compatability there is 'automatic bridging' plus some other options that possibly act differently than on the fly. I dunno. But one thing is I had heard Reaper's bridge wasn't as robust as JBridge, and JBridge is pretty cheap. I dunno how accurate that is.munchkin wrote:I've looked in the Program folder, My Documents, Public Documents, AppData and ProgramData folders and I can't find any Reaper folder containing bridged 32 bit VST/VSTi plugins. I think Reaper must do it on the fly.
