I'm noticing some strange behavior in Reaper.
If I render to wav the sound isn't delayed, as if the delay is just bypassed. Also, after that it doesn't function correctly anymore even in regular online use. I only hear a very soft delay after about twenty seconds.

Am I doing something wrong?

thanks for the report, but I can't reproduce, everything seems fine here. I'm going to PM you for more details.

edit : just for info : that was a false alarm, reaper rendering behaviour is fine with tkdelay

The faint sound makes me wonder if something wrong is being recorded.

No reason to bother checking this out, not worth the hassle because it has a stupid "installer".

If I ever update my OS or anything, all my plugins that came as .zip/.dll work perfectly.

And all the installer ones ruin my life, I am left with 70 hours of terror and fighting trying to "reinstall" plugins to get back to where I was --
As if they are some retarded operating system drivers or something. Totally idiotic.

There's plenty of other great delays that come in .dll form.

Can't follow this statement. Either you can install (when 99,9% of the time an installer only put the .dll to a destination and maybe create a folder for presets under documents) without problems or not. This has nothing to do with "update my OS or anything". I update my OS regulary and never had any issues afair.

And why it should be harmed by an OS update anyway when the .dll is placed it's nothing different then you did by hand with a zipped .dll? As you said you didn't have any problems the .dll works perfectly..
..Do you think the "installed" .dll have an invisible magic conjunction and the .dll you placed by hand not? So when you update BANG!?

Pick up your installer
or click for a manual install

Had a quick try and I must say, it's a very interesting plugin.

It would be perfect for me with the following additions:
- brighter text color (remember: you will get older too!)
- choice for LP / HP filter, not only BP
- choice for Pitch Shift (cents/semitone), not only Frequ Shift
- filter LFO rate host sync

(btw: my DAW is on XP too - never change a running system :D )

Hi secret_man. Sorry if this is not visible enough on the website, but as bitcrush said you can already just download the dlls from there if you prefer.
But note that the tkdelay's installer would just do exactly what you would to do manually : that is copy the factory presets and the dlls to the right location. nothing more. So it just make the process more easy for you. Nothing wrong with it really.

thanks!

LP, HP and LFO rate host sync will be there in the v1 release.
brighter text color/other theme will be done, but probably in v1.1 or so, but meanwhile (just in case you missed it), note that the interface is fully resizable (drag the bottom right-corner), this highly increase readability (even for young people :)

Is it possible to extend delay range to shorter values?

hum.. I'm not sure about that.
For more flanger/chorus stuff options, I think I would rather do an other more specialized plug with different and more appropriate controls.
(also note that changing the range now would break some existing user's projects)

Post

A specialized plug-in is an idea. Of course, if a multiplier control were added to the current delay plug-in it would not necessarily have an affect existing presets and projects.

I've just tried tkDelay x64 on a drumloop sample in Tracktion5 x64 and the weird thing is that everytime when the loop starts over again, the delays promptly stop and start over again which results in a gap, when they should go on continually.

Ohter delay plugins I have do not show this behaviour so I guess it's not a Tracktion bug.

No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Hi Nielzie. A fix was made in Beta4 concerning that. So if you are not already running the beta 4 please update, otherwise PM me, and I'll have a closer look at that! thanks!
Nielzie wrote:Edit: lol nevermind. My fault
fine! :)

Uhhmm I thought for a moment it was gone, but again my fault.. the problem is still there. I'm running Beta 5.

Will PM you.
