Don't sweat it. We all were beginners at one time or another. I'm sure you'll get the hang of all this eventually. And of course if you ever have any questions about anything you can always come here and ask. I have found this community to be quite helpful when push comes to shove.Mojo42 wrote:Okay, okay who can resist so much enthusiasm?![]()
I will check this out. If it is really for learning and if the feedback is really only helpful and constructive I maybe give it a chance although 4 weeks are actually not much time for creating a song. At least not for me. But I have seen that the track doesn`t need to be epic and 10 minutes long. I guess 3 Minutes I could make in 4 weeks *lol*.
I actually could need feedback and help, because I`m starting this electric music journey right now as already said. Once when I played Bass in different Bands we had a sound engineer for recording, mixing and mastering. My part was to play my instrument and I don`t needed to know anything about sound engineering. But now that I try home recording I simply have to know all and also have to do all by myself. That`s a hard task. I`m most of all interested into feedback to all this technical aspects because if people like a certain song or not is anyway just a question of taste. But concerning mixing, mastering, sound........one can get very objective feedback which is necessary and helpful.
Another problem is: I have got my PC speakers, my Laptop speakers and my DJ Headphones (at least) but does this say anything about of the sound of my tracks? NO. It sounds so different depending on what speakers I use that I have absolutely no idea how my songs sound like. Community Feedback concerning this aspect would be great. If the most say that the sound is okay then I guess it is really okay.
But for the Eclipsis Challenge it is too late already. I will have to work too many hours this month and as already said: I`m a very slow song producer, but I will keep an eye on the OSC. Promised
Enjoy the journey.
