Just quoting from the video on the site

Have anyone else also spotted one of the greatest film composers playing guitaret in the video?

Probably not, this is KVR :D

8k or 10k, well, does it have a favorites section in the browser? I suppose if I had O2, I would browse all presets one single time to create a short list, and then browse that again to select 128 favorites and forget about the rest (I assume at least 95% of all sounds would be useless to me).

I want the Omnisphere aggregator as a separate plugin.

Would be nice if there was a standalone.

It has a 1-5 rating scale like Kore and Alchemy did.

I hate how the use the term "sounds" to refer to the combination of sound sources plus presets. They are different things. Presets are made from sound sources. Saying there are 10,000 sounds doesn't tell us how many of those are raw sound sound sources and how many are presets.

From what I'm hearing, I don't think my core 3, 16 gig RAM PC is going to be able to run this. If that's the case, it means upgrading my PC which means a complete reinstall. That's not an option for me with all the programs I would have to redo, including Komplete which took 8 hours to install.

So it looks like no Omni 2 for me. Oh well, that's life.

I could run Omnisphere on a 2 GHz dualcore way back... granted some presets would chomp a lot of CPU indeed, but it's not really impossible to run it...

I can run Omni. It's Omni 2 I'm concerned about. Seems like it's going to need a lot more processing power and I don't know if my rig can handle it.

Would be nice if there was some kind of cpu optimation where I could run omnisphere at a lower quality setting until I decide to stream. I don't run into any problems with a single instance but depending on the patches, if I load up a full multi, I can start to run into problems.

I went from PC to Mac and re-installed everything I owned in the last couple of weeks. Kontakt,Omni,Trillian,Maschine,AIEP,most of U-He synths & FX,Fabfilter,Arturia,Tone2, huge list on top of that....couple of DAWs as well....grit your teeth and drink lots of coffee...
Re-installing as an excuse is a bit feeble. :-)
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

the granular option needs a wavewofrm and markers/looppoints then it's perfect? ;D

This piqued my interest in the current, Omnisphere 1. So off to youtube I went. I had to close the page after awhile as the sounds were much too enticing knowing full well I can't warrant another 500 dollar audio purchase. :help:

This sounds, in my mind, what a Roland workstation would be if they didn't water it down.. really, really well done here.

I'd probably give $150 for an NFR simple player just for the Pads and Strings alone. But understand that isn't going to happen. :ud:

Omni2 demo is too wobble dubstep oriented to get a real feel for it at the moment.. but definitely has some interesting modules.. swiss army synth!
