This popcorn sure is delicious. Theo knows his stuff when it comes to some subjects but he's so unnecessarily angry and harsh when he expresses his opinions that of COURSE it riles up other users. Mate you can't say shit the way you do and expect people to roll over and take it, like seriously? Going into a thread and saying "x daw is shit becuase *exaggerated number comparisons*" and then acting high and mighty when other users get upset at you? You're stoking your own fire. This is completely ridiculous.

The longer I stay at this forum the more I see the pervasive ugliness with the way people talk to each other here and it just makes the KVR community look unattractive as hell. It's pretty disappointing. :/

Your first post was calling the Bitwig Dev's arrogant...

The OP asked for objective differences between Live and Bitwig. Instead of answering it with factual feature differences, you go on about your personal likes and how the dev's are arrogant, that they stole ideas etc.

Arrogance: an insulting way of thinking or behaving that comes from believing that you are better, smarter, or more important than other people.

You're belittling someone simply because they insist on a feature that you don't agree is necessary.

You know, Theo raged against BWS in the beginning, then at one point he came crawling and was all positive, now it's another tide of raging for mostly silly reasons.
His arguments are of course totally valid in his own personal universe and he's welcome to them, but his usual way of totally overexaggerating things (in whatever direction is the current) don't do anything to keep a discussion "Objective" as the op asked for.

If all DAWs would be the same, what would be the point of having several.
Doing everything the same is the opposite of progress.
If somebody is unwilling to actually go in and find the new, brilliant stuff because some old habits aren't served - his loss.

I think ceasless did a great job in trying to show alternative solutions.
Not sure what the problem is with that?

i made one positive post about bitwig in that i had initial good vibes from the very first demo i ever tried of it. 2 hrs later and hitting all the limitations that i would never even had dreamed would be present, and that bubble was instantly burst.

I never went "crawling" to anyone. If you are going to post propaganda at least let it be truthful.

Theo, don't even bother. He's not objective at all when it comes to Bitwig and hasn't been since prior to its release as a beta tester. This whole idea that somehow only looking at the "brilliant" stuff is all that is needed, is just absurd. Every single host has its positives and negatives. Different workflows exist because someone thought there was a better way to do things and quite simply not everyone agrees. End of story. Keep it moving unless you're bored and have nothing better to do.

I'm the OP and stopped reading after I got Ableton Looking forward to seeing if Bitwig announces some new stuff at NAMM though!
