Please note that there may well be inherant issues with older versions too (as they were built on older framework, not that used for 1.6.6).

So 1.6.6. was built using a different framework than the previous versions and 1.6.6 is considerably more buggy than the previous versions... most likely not a coincidence I would think.

Unfortunately 1.6.5. has got the same problems as 1.6.6. - so I guess I was rin regards to "previous version" - was it 1.6.3 that seems bug-free?

Are you sure the new framework has been used only pre 1.6.5.?

For the time being, maybe ask AudioSabre if he could provide you (via PM) v1.5
And if that doesn't help, try 1.01

And if that also doesn't help - then I fear it's an incompatibility with your host.

I now tried the 1.1. I got from you and it's a lot more stable than 1.6.5 and 1.6.6 - it crashes when loading some of the presets, but that's not really a problem...

Yes, 1.5 might do the trick too ...

but personally I'm neither very interested in the modulation (I'm using Reaper, so for me Magma's own modulation possibilites are rather basic, compared to what the host itself offers) nor in loading VST so 1.1 doesn't seem such a bad deal to me for now... thanks again.
