I haven't used it in a while but Cosmos is a good one.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

There goes the second hand market for these plugins ...

Post

Agreed.... Magma at that price is definitely a no-brainer.

I don't have cosmos, but at that price, I'm going to have to add it.

Another favorite of mine is the Motown Retro bundle, which is also just $29. :o

Post

Magma only got 7 out of 10 rating in CM back in 2012

But since then there has been a major update with v1.5 which adds the modulation matrix, so that is good

A toolbox of 65 effects that can be wired together at will including 3rd party VSTs for just $40, wow :o

Post

checking the magma demo for stability. which of course is more important than price.

...and it can host those third party VSTs inside an AAX host, for those that need to.
Remember the iLokalypse Summer 2013

Samples and presets and free stuff!

...so it basically can load VST effect plugs for use in Pro Tools ?

That's handy :)

They should make a Magma for Reason too  :D

was going well until hard crash in live 9.6 OSX 10.9.5

simply changing rack models and instant crash.

saddly it doesn't matter how great these deals are. if there are no updates or fixes it's just a cash cow. :-(

Pass.

Personally, I think the Integral Studio Pack is a superior value for $99. The pack includes both Cosmos and Echoes, but also has a ton of other really useful plugins. I particularly love the Blue Tubes effects, for example.

I also experience problems with the Magma demo in FL Studio 12, on Windows 10, 64 bit

No crashes, but lots of hanging, trying to twist knobs they stay stuck for a couple of seconds before moving. CPU hit is low, so it can't be the machine power caving in either...

Could be demo restrictions, but I thought that works fully for 30 days?

Post

Its not the demo restriction just buggy.

Post

Very tempted by the $99 bundle INTEGRAL STUDIO PACK 3 - Is that everything ?!

Post

I´ve always found them to be poorly coded, average sounding plug-ins. So I´ll pass. There are way better options these days IMHO...
