aliasing was removed by the lpf. at least that's what they sounded like.
recorded through paper cones, with a sewing needle. same for playback, which was hand cranked, which made time, all wibbly wobbly.
also playback removed the recording as it went.

from this, we get an impression that those times were amazing, nope, they just had a few great songs each year hit the charts while the rest were cookie cutter copies, trying to hit the same target and failing miserably.
