Zebra 3's UI ended up great imo, clean and functional while looking sexy. Great job.

Key Follow... linearly follows the key on the keyboard, or the MIDI Note. Any microtuning whatsoever should only happen in the Pitch Modules. Otherwise it would be difficult to e.g. switch key specific things in the Mappers.

Possible bug found in first full release model 21799:
Discovered while experimenting with factory patch 'Cinematic Harp' (Bank 07 Keys and Classics).
Clicks/pops when using the LPF Ladder filter model at 24db/oct while playing chords of an exciter/modal instrument.
Seems worse when playing in lower registers with long Env sustain and it gets way worse when you add a second 24db LPF Ladder filter in series. Also seems to happen to a degree with the 24db Cascade and Impossible C LPF and 6db Ladder LPF models.
Replacing the Exciter with an Osc1 makes it exponentially worse with the clicks/pops, but if you disable the Modal it settles except for the occasional click. I'm presuming there's an issue between the Modal module and some of the LPF filter models, but its not reproduced in the
'Simply Modal' patch in the Templates preset folder, so must be something more specific to how the 'Cinematic Harp' patch is set up...
My laptop has a fast Core i9 processor and is fairly well-spec'd with RAM/VRAM.

That's your CPU though, not a bug in the synth. You play lots of notes, with an "expensive" ladder filter model, and since Zebra 3 runs on a single core of your CPU, you start maxxing it out.Signifier wrote: Mon Apr 20, 2026 12:58 pm Possible bug found in first full release model 21799:

I just tested that on my machine with the ressource monitor of my operating system in view, and when I do what you describe and the crackles appear, I can see the CPU load of that one core scratch at the 100% line.

Multicore support is not yet implemented, there's a good reason for that which Urs has already explained. For the moment run the Module Performance Meter, which will undoubtedly suggest you replace the Ladder filter with the Vanilla.

Meanwhile I purchased that exact same mouse, the Logitech G203, and there is no issue in Reaper on Mac when using the Hide Mouse on Drag feature in Zebra, neither with CLAP or VST3.bmanic wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 5:56 pm Yeah, it is indeed weird. It's even more weird considering this is the ONLY U-He plugin that does it. Heck it's the only software, period, that does this.
I even installed Logitech G Hub just to test all the polling rate options and everything available there.. no help. When I set it to the smallest polling possible (125Hz) I get similar results to the cheap mouse my son has. Glitches still happen but at this low polling rate the "hide mouse cursor on drag = on" is acceptable.
Something on your Mac must be influencing the mouse events that get sent to the plugin, and this leads to the plugin interpreting them wrongly.
If you’re up for it, a few more questions:
Did you change any mouse-specific settings in Reaper?
Do you have any mouse utility apps installed? Things like LinearMouse, BetterMouse, SteerMouse, BetterTouchTool, USB Overdrive, or anything similar?
Did you adjust the mouse scaling via Terminal? If you open Terminal and run
Code: Select all
defaults read -g com.apple.mouse.scalingIn System Settings > Mouse > Advanced, is Pointer Acceleration on or off?
It might also be better to continue this through our support instead of trying to troubleshoot it here.

Not that I'm aware no. I'll investigate but don't think I've changed anything other than actual mouse button modifiers. I could install another DAW and see if it works there.. currently I have only Reaper installed (I own FL Studio, Logic Pro and Ableton Live 10).
tasmaniandevil wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 10:30 am Do you have any mouse utility apps installed? Things like LinearMouse, BetterMouse, SteerMouse, BetterTouchTool, USB Overdrive, or anything similar?
No. Nothing like that installed. Logic G Hub just last week to test but uninstalled that already.

What value is displayed?Code: Select all

When I type that I get the value 0.875 returned.
tasmaniandevil wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 10:30 am In System Settings > Mouse > Advanced, is Pointer Acceleration on or off?
Haven't touched anything here so it should all be default. Mouse Pointer Acceleration is ON.
Here is an image of that whole panel so that you can see all the mouse settings in one go.
In the meantime I've installed the latest update to OS X Sonoma so I'm now on 14.8.5.. though it's only security updates and nothing else seems to have changed.
Will do! Believe it or not, for me personally it's more likely I'll see your messages here than through email as it's constantly swamped by stuff from my kids school!tasmaniandevil wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 10:30 am It might also be better to continue this through our support instead of trying to troubleshoot it here.
Anyhow, I'm not really planning on using the "hide mouse cursor" feature as I like having the cursor visible but of course I'll help you track down the possible bug (or make sure that it's my system that is faulty and not the plugin!). I'd just like the glitchy mouse knobs to go away as I'm an avid synth tweaker and move fast when I work on sounds.
Cheers!

Crap, such a mouse tool was the strongest lead I had.bmanic wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 11:55 pm No. Nothing like that installed. Logic G Hub just last week to test but uninstalled that already.
Interesting, I'll try that. Would have expected something between 1 and 3.
It’s likely some variable we haven’t accounted for. I’m really curious by now to figure this out, so we can implement a fix.bmanic wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 11:55 pm Anyhow, I'm not really planning on using the "hide mouse cursor" feature as I like having the cursor visible but of course I'll help you track down the possible bug (or make sure that it's my system that is faulty and not the plugin!).
We’ll work on those.bmanic wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 11:55 pm I'd just like the glitchy mouse knobs to go away as I'm an avid synth tweaker and move fast when I work on sounds.![]()

Apologies if this is the wrong thread(I'm lost on which is current), but are there any plans to add the different FM generators to Z3? I'm sure you guys are swamped with requests, so it's ok if it takes a few years...

I mean the different waves that were available for the FMOs. Quadric Sine, AM Shift, etc.

Ah, ok. We'll evaluate this, it might not be as easy as it sounds.MeanGreen7 wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2026 8:44 pm I mean the different waves that were available for the FMOs. Quadric Sine, AM Shift, etc.
