NO NO, don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with you, just saying that now you can do it, in future releases it would be implemented as a button sure.. Just to get as many users requests in this was done.delafuerte wrote:VFXAU wrote: Easier... maybe... but then many other customers asked for other functions which can now be implemented because the MIDI plugins can be used. like arpegiators and triggering different things etc etc.![]()

Dannny, it's not such a bad thing to meet customers request!
Moreover for a vst host (like VFX) midi transpose function IMHO should be a MUST not an option (refer to Brainspawn Forte for example)!!!
This function is essential for what you say on your site (so...it's not my wrong expectation):
Combine VST and VSTi plug-ins into chains, splits, and layers to create extremely rich and unique sounds.
Different is for arpegiators, triggering, etc...
That's my opinion, but I'd like to know what other machiners think.

Midi functions and scenes programming like in Brainspawn would be great.
This is very important for me and the reason why I still use a notebook onstage and not the V-machine.
Implementing this kind of features isn't that hard, right? It will make the
V-Machine more Pro.

Do MIDI effect plugins work now? I don't understand the way vfxau worded it.
Yes or no?

Cool! That pushes the upcoming V-Rack over the Musebox.
Midi plugins can be a pretty big feature.

The latest firmware update really made my day. The select and confirm-function makes it a live-tool at last and as long as you use sampletank-sounds only you can play the most amazing layers and use lots of the internal effects.
Not that i don't want the motherboard upgrade....

Well, I've finally finished this thread and had a few questions. First, I've been intrigued by this machine and I'm glad I stumbled upon this forum, as I was having trouble finding out any real information about the unit. I don't use a laptop live and don't really want to. I'm thinking of purchasing the V-Machine and the Arturia Analog Factory Experience (with the included controller). I want to use the Analog Factory plugin and M-Tron Pro one at a time (so no splits/layers necessary).
I've read about problems with M-Tron Pro. Can anyone confirm that this works on the V-Machine? I'll probably stream the samples from an external drive. How is the preset changing function? Will I have to create chunk files in the VFX software for each of the M-Tron presets?
Also, I notice wizard files for other Arturia programs, and considering that Analog Factory is a light preset type player, it should be able to work on the V-Machine, correct? Also, does anyone have a wizard file for that? I have a strong feeling I'd be very lost if I had to attempt creating one.
It seems like this box is perfect for me because 90% of the time I will be using it as a dedicated hardware Mellotron.

Sounds like that might also be a job for Samplelord if it can import those famous MelloTron samples out there and/or SampleTron (if it doesn't run on here you should be able pull the sounds into SampleTank) in addition to the mentioned tools if you so desire. Probably not at the same time but still options likely to be available to you.Bulletproof Keys wrote:It seems like this box is perfect for me because 90% of the time I will be using it as a dedicated hardware Mellotron.

So, vfxau, midi plugins definitely work? Or is smpro still ignoring my pre-sales inquiries? Why do you think I never bought one?
