Most of us figured it was quicker to learn to play guitar than wait for someone to code an approximation :P
Unfortunately, I seem to have uncoordinated short fingers. And after a couple of hand injuries, they just don't bend right. For the basic strumming I can do? Real Guitar sounds so much better.

It's just not as interesting as a holographic Eddie Van Halen would be. (I wonder if I could request the young version) :-D

Saving my PA voucher for the HG-2 due out Monday

Post

shonky wrote:They did indeed. Might be worth sending them an e-mail if you haven't received anything, sure they'd rather keep regular customers sweet than not.
Yeah, I did. They sent me a coupon, although, I do get the sense that it's not only about how much you spent but how many coupons you've used or some such. I've definitely spent more than some who say that they've only purchased the $9 sale items. I might be wrong, it could have just been an oversight.

I might use the coupon, I might not. I like a couple of their plugins well enough, but, I haven't been blown away like some people seem to be. For example, I seldom prefer bx limiter to flux pure limiter or Ozone.

Do these things have an expiration date?

Yes it works. I upgraded from Rockrack V2 to V3 for 4$!
And I upgraded to SPL EQ Ranger Plus for $4... :)
I assume from Free Ranger, where does one find these upgrades of which you speak? Also, I don't see anything on sale on their website.

You can only upgrade SPL EQ Rangers Vol 1 (a legacy product which is no longer available) to SPL EQ Ranger Plus. You see all your upgrade options right in your account.

I see, thanks for that. So then, at the moment, there appears to be very little value to the coupon for newer customers?

There are a couple of sales coming up at PA. If you combine them with the coupon they are deep in no-brainer territory.

How can I find out specifics? Is this in an email that I missed?

It's in the very same email that included the coupon.

I see, I didn't get that email actually. I got my coupon only after opening a support ticket to ask about it. So, they sent me the coupon, but not the email with the details of the sales.

I don't suppose someone could list them explicitly here? Or, at the very least, tell me when the sale starts so I can check it out myself on the day of the sale?

Yes, if you wanted it, it was pretty cheap then. I passed, it's a weird synth that I just didn't find any significant value in.

Thanks Ryan99, the plan is set. Unfortunately, it will probably not win me very many friends at PA nor will it up my chances of getting more coupons in the future, can I help it if I'm cheap and pragmatic about plugins?

You're right. One of the most exquisite synth emulations ever. Just add some FabFilter Pro-R or Zynaptiq Adaptiverb and you're in sonic heaven.
