Actually I don't mind to wait for the download.

But having no confirmation of payment from their side (meaning they processed it) incorporates the chance of forthcoming hassle like sending mails that are unnecessary. They don't like it and so do I.

Anyway, probably I'll end up as 'statistic noise' in relation to a zillion happy people that had more luck than me.

They said they did. This happens with every major release across the board from audio stuff to gaming to video streaming like HBO. This is nothing new and should have been expected by everyone.

Why should I expect a server breakdown like it was something inevitable? They could just have purchased a temporary server band increase for a week or something. I paid for it and it says downloadable April 30th. So then prepare the servers for the high demand - end of story.

Anyone managed to download the free upgrade and doesn't get the "not eligible" message?

Don't worry if you get the token error, that means there's a problem at the other end. I just tried every few mins and then eventually the download started.

To Spectrasonic's credit they do seem to have servers with big pipes. I've been getting up to 8.5 MBps (Bytes). If the speed holds that equates to 18GB in just over 30min

Because crap happens? They have stated they had several more nodes available for people to download from around the world than normal. That's the best they can do. If those nodes get overloaded, which they do in situations like this, it's pretty much out of their hands until the servers can catch up. If you actually want to help out with it, stop trying to hit the servers to download it every 3 minutes.

BTW, in west coast USA, there is still 11 hours left on April 30th so chances are you'll be able to download it at some point on April 30th. Take the entitlement elsewhere. Just makes you seem like an impatient arse.

i want to pull the trigger today... but i am trying my best to wait until Sunday...

I imagine there are quite a few that bought in the Grace Period also in anticipation of this.
So that would increase those estimates by at least a few hundred also. I noticed a couple here that did that and aren't even seeing any verification that is going through.
So it does seem there was some poor planning on their part.

Waiting until Sunday seems to be a reasonable thing to do. All luck to you and everyone!

Just follow the directions after the download manager finishes. The installer puts everything where it needs to go. Just open the PDF and read the instructions. It's very easy.

I was finally able to get through the whole process... free upgrade after entering my version 1 serial number... copy paste from the spectrasonics site. Downloading now.

Too bad your mom wasn't around when we did that ADM deal last year.

Then I was told to be patient, only took three weeks or so to get the goods transferred then.
