So was the Accel Resynthesier, Squids- remember that one from the early 90s? I even remembering some guy in Oregon offering sample sets from it. Too bad the product never materialized...

Squids, perfect, if you don't feel like discussing that matter, then please don't. I understand where your coming from, beleive me. I hate software pirates as much, even more than you do.

What about the two questions that you quoted in your reply, but did not answer?

"Squids, can you please find out as well if IKMM upgrade offer from AT1->AT2's deadline is still the end of the month of decembre? That doesn't leave us a big window of oppurtinity. I hope IKMM extends that period

Squids, what about the AT2 presets requested on the request specific thread, did you have the chance to work on them yet?"

Squids, again, I think most of us genuinly appreciate your intervention in this thread, and please do not think that we are trying to blame you for anything, or mad at you for the delays.

Can we get the dry .wav file next to the AT2 processed .wav file? 24 bit .wav files at sample rates higher that 48khz would be great.

I agree. That one always intrigued me. Reality of it is that Cameleon 5000 probably blows it away now. ;) But, back then it seemed amazing. If a product is never released you might in retrospect call it vaporware I suppose (ie. just a few prototypes in exoistence). The Prism keyboard system was another one. Heh, in fact yet ANOTHER one was the Con Brio which was actually made by M-Audio's founder Tim Ryan (who decided to make something ELSE instead... good choice! ;) ). But, anyway, AmpliTube 2 will definitely be released and if not this month then maybe next month. I only know about a week out. So, it isn't coming next week. ;)

Well, yeah, I mean I have nothing to do with the delay! My team is working on Studiophonik (we have our OWN delay issues!!!). I just come in here to give my POV and try to be helpful.

Presets are an ongoing thing and the more time you have with a program the better the presets can be (and more varied) because each day can be a different inspiration. Plus, the more I get to work on my music the more I come up with things that work within a particular musical context. That also helps you come up with really PRACTICAL presets. You know, there is always the temptation out of musical context to come up with those "wow" presets but the ones that are not fancy but just sound great (say, even a preset with NO stomps and just a simple great amp setting) are also very important I think.

Lastly, I don't know about any extension of the AT1 to AT2 offer. I would guess that as long as AT2 isn't out yet then it will continue (don't see why not) until it is. Then it is my understanding that you won't be able to get AT1 anymore (except from stores left that have it) and that will be the end of that! This is one reason why I keep trying to make it clear to people that AT1 and AT2 ARE different! While AT2 is certainly better there could be things that someone liked about AT1 that will be gone and this is the last chance to get it. For one thing, a lot of people love AT1's presets and as far as I can tell AT2 will not be able to read them. You know these things are. Some people will miss the old version and some people will never want to use the old version again once they have the new one. But, IMO it is nice to have the option if it doesn't actually cost you more! In fact, by getting AT2 through the offer of the "buy AT1 and get AT2 free" you actually get AT2 cheaper that way than waiting to buy it when it is out. You save over a hundred bucks or so.

Now, please understand, I am not saying this because I enjoy selling products that aren't out yet. We don't even have AT2 on pre-order yet at www.esoundz.com while some stores allow you to pre-order already. We'll put it on pre-order when we know it is a week or two away from shipping. But, the fact that IK is offering that deal is one to at least be fully aware of the advantages and I am just trying to make sure no one misses it and kicks themselves later. "Why didn't you tell me that?" At a certain point (maybe sometime soon) this will no longer be an option. But, there will be other advantages such as the ability to try out AT2 in the stores which may be more important to some than having two plug-ins and an overall lower price. To each his own. I just like to help people make informed buying decisions.

You know, I bet the IK audio demos will be mp3 for download. 24bit wav files are rather large. But, maybe something like that can make its way onto a demo CD. In fact, you give me some ideas. On www.esoundz.com we also sell AT and to give some extra good quality service maybe we'll do a thorough demonstration in glorious 24 bit for you guys. I mean, it really does sound awesome so it makes perfect sense to show it off as much as possible. The wheels are turning. Maybe we'll do 24 bit audio demos for our new loop libraries and credit AT2 for guitar processing for the guitars over them like I said before. Just thinking outloud.

Yes, I guess I did.

I am honestly wondering why someone wouldn't just enter Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier into Google. I just did and it gave me all the information I need, instead of waiting and wading through our silly posts.

Maybe he just wanted to bump this miserable thread, kinda like I am doing now.

:x
I remember when in July we found out that "it's late again" and it will be released in August.
I said to myself "Control yourself, you can wait another month" :x

Yeah, I'm sure it's just a play on words, but intended to be a faithful emulation of the Dual Rectifier.
