VB3 works but has a couple of bugs. F.e. Vibato/Chorus on/off switch doesn't make an impact. Same with Percussion on/off.DragonSagoth wrote:B4-I is listed as working. B4-II is not.
But, why not trying GSi VB3, as it has far better sound and leslie simulation?

Hi,
I see this discussion is mainly about virtual instruments.
Any experience and consideration about effects to process audio in real time ?
See my specific post here:

thanks,

You mean Reverb, Delay, Guitar effects... that is no problem at all.unguitar wrote:Hi,

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
Is there a list of tested reverbs delays and filters ?
Another very important point for me:
is it possible to leave the audio inside the digital domain ?
I mean, is it possible to work with the vsts so that I can have them in Audiomulch's Vst folder, keep them in that signal flow ?
I don't need and want to have the processed audio to be output from the V-Machine outputs.
I mean:
When I have vsts loaded in the V-Machine, may I assume the only difference from a "normal" set up is that they are not using laptop's cpu/ram ?
Sorry for silly questions but I want to be sure about that.
Also sorry for my limited english, I hope to have been able to put my questions correctly.
my best,
Luca

Hi Luca, Current firmware will not allow you to run the V-Machine as a DSP unit, (not a silly question) so basically the answer is NO, the bandwidth of a USB 1.1 connection would not be enough in any case, the V-Rack is a different issue and as it include a gigabit lan connection, with the right firmware you will be able to do what you are saying. (Please note we don't expenct to see production units out for at least another 3 months for the V-Rack)unguitar wrote:Hi,

I'll 2nd that. I got my V-Machine home last night and VB3 is one of the first things I'm going to load if I can figure out how.DragonSagoth wrote:B4-I is listed as working. B4-II is not.

Do you mean that soon also Ni B4 first version could be used?VFXAU wrote: who stopped answering your emails? please let me know as far as support we try to do the best possible job here and on the smproaudio website. In regards to NI and B4, you should all know by now that the only reason that you cannot use an auth version is because the procedure requires a hardware authentication, NI and VFX are working on this. Not an issue of if, just when. BTW B4 works very well on the V-MachinE.(As you can see when you run the demo version)
Thus would be great, I've the same problem and its a pity to be forced to buy the latest version.

What I was saying, B4-I should already work. Several people already did it.
What VFXAU is saying that soon, ALL NI software will work propertly, including B4-I and -II.

B4-I should work, but IT DOESN'T. Any users here who were successful with B4-I?? If so, how did you get it working?DragonSagoth wrote:What I was saying, B4-I should already work. Several people already did it.

Ok,
thanks so much for clearing this !
So,
we can say that the most common external vst engines ( such as Ua and Tc and Receptor) are allowing you to keep the Vsts in the digital domain inside the same host you have on your daw ?
The V-machine rack will be able to do this while the small box will not.
You have been very helpful to help me understand, thanks again.

B4I DOES have hardware authentication!vuckmachine wrote:
BTW: B4-I does NOT require hardware authentication! So this can't be the reason why it doesn't work!
IF you have the original version
Such a stupid protection method I had challenged to NI when I bought it....in fact I think the second version has not this protection anymore...
In any case B4I doesn't work also for me.

any has more information about this?DragonSagoth wrote: But, if the CPU upgrade for V-Machine shows more capable, then it might be a good buy for you.
- release date?
- which CPU?
- dragon wrote it will increase the price by 100-200$?
thanks a lot

No more info about that, as the CPU board is still in the testing process. Those are all speculations.

Can anybody tell me how to get Synth1 installed so that it can find a bank of sounds? I see bank 00 on my computer (using the software), but once I sync w/the V-Machine the presets are empty.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Has anybody the same problems?
1. after updating to version 1.120090130 I can't reinstall sampletank SE;
2. updating to newest version through vfx software does not match. All works fine until the point, when I have to restart v-machine. V-machine freezes with the welcome-monitor;
fortunately the german support gave me a link to a file called reset_vm which resets my v-machine to version 1.120090130 via USB-stick. This works fine here. Unfortunately smproaudio does not update this file to the newest version, what I can't understand. Maybe the new version could solve some of the problems which I have with my v-machine.
